"We are the miracle of force and matter making itself over into imagination and will. Incredible. The Life Force experimenting with forms. You for one. Me for another. The Universe has shouted itself alive. We are one of the shouts." - Ray Bradbury

  • Movies

If it's Science Fiction and comes in a widescreen two disk+ special edition, it's on my list of movies to buy :)

"All you got to do is use your instincts. How do you think a lion knows to tackle a gazelle? It's written, it's a code written in his DNA, says, "tackle the gazelle." And believe it or not, in every man there's a code written that says, "tackle drunk bitches." - Jay (40 Year Old Virgin)

  • Television

I'm currently watching; House, Lie to Me, Hells Kitchen, American Idol, Mythbusters, Family Guy and various reruns of cool shows the networks couldn't seem to keep alive!

"Sorry Meg. Daddy loves ya, but Daddy also loves Star Trek, and in all fairness, Star Trek was here first." - Peter (Family Guy)

“People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.” - Isaac Asimov

  • Heroes

I don't really think I have any heroes I look up to; which I guess either reflects on me as being difficult to impress and influence, or on our modern societies lack of morally grounded people to admire. Personally I think its the latter. But I'd love to discuss this with someone sometime!

About me:

My true hometown is the fine city of Portland Oregon, where I was born, raised, and brainwashed to believe that the greatest place on Earth was and is, the Pacific Northwest. But as life sometimes has a way, I eventually found himself in Sunny Northern California where I now permanently live.

Down in Sacramento I spend my time with my girlfriend Marni, her cat Snowie and my cat Karlie, and continue to develop all manner of odd solo creative projects in my Mini Home Art Studio. My son Chris lives in Vancouver Washington, my sister Sasha in Portland Oregon and my brother Don is still out east in Brooklyn New York; I miss them all and wish I could see them more often.

In the past I’ve written, under various monikers and pen names, a number of published role playing campaign books, helped playtest and write a published hard science fiction role playing game, co-wrote two full length computer technical manuals, and worked as lead administrator to four popular online entertainment sites, as well as hosting my own small online (half million hits) humor/entertainment site (now retired). And no matter how much you pressure me, I won’t discuss or name a single one of those projects.

Currently I’m working behind the scenes on projects related to my Stormseeker Universe project, which will both let readers peer even deeper into the workings of that vast project, such as a series of high art ‘graphic novelettes’ (commonly called comic books). As well as world books related to the material in my upcoming Guide to the Stormseeker Universe, and other more interactive material.

A book length compilation of short stories within the Stormseeker Universe, the aforementioned comic book series, a full length novel, as well as a Stormseeker Universe ‘d20’ role-playing source book have also been hinted at. As well, I’m also working on a couple of other interesting and unrelated book projects to be published in the next couple of years.

Outside of writing, I’m a Graphic Designer, Digital Artist, Computer Enthusiast, as well as being a die hard life long hobbyist of anything that could be considered a hobby. Overall, you could call me an associate ‘Uber Nerd’ in the 'Nerd Core' culture.

In my short life I’ve been a BMX racer, a comic book collector, a scale model builder and painter, an amateur RC racer, a collectible card game player and collector, a hardcore PUNK on the early ‘90s streets of Portland Oregon, a model rocket builder and painter, a comic book writer, an amateur electrician, a sci-fi/fantasy convention nerd, a compound-bow enthusiast, a coffee shop hangout dude, a DVD collector, billiards player, a toy and action figure collector, a computer builder/modder/painter, a nature hiker and outdoor camper, a mountain biker, a builder of electronic programmable robots, an old school role player, a tactical game player and collector, a scale die cast car collector (I love Hotwheel muscle cars), and a PC gamer of mainly RPG style sci-fi/fantasy strategy games.

I TRY to lead a full nerd lifestyle, but wish I had more friends in the Sacramento area that I could identify and hang out with. Sacramento is NOT Portland Oregon sadly, but I try to make due without a tangible ‘alternative’ scene.

My draw to experience and learn drives me to continually seek out new an interesting hobbies and ways to stimulate my mind and keep myself busy. I know nothing better and more satisfying then to learn and experience, I rarely forget what I’ve learned, and I apply it and everything else I’ve experienced in my lifetime to the maximum of its potential in order to keep myself entertained, involved and as far from a boring life as possible.

In recent times, I’ve been bitten by the writing bug and spend most of my leisure time engaged in writing, sketching in my sketch pad, honing his computer illustration talents, playing with my graphic tablet and/or reading the latest technical manual that I’ve acquired for personal and intellectual study. I’ve also found myself getting back into comic books, now that I’m writing and illustrating one of my own.

I'm in desperate need of a vacation too, but somehow karma keeps me from escaping out of California (like some kind of black hole), but I'm going to keep trying to escape its border and visit my hometown one of these days!

Who I'd like to meet:

Like minded people! Artists!

Especially those artists who work in the comic book industry.
