Warren La Plante grew up in La Costa California & as a teenager began his studies at the acclaimed Musicans Institute in Hollywood. Also known as The Guitar Institute of Technology or GIT. Warren went on to study with Peter Pupping, honing his Classical guitar technique. Warren's innovative tapping style with unique tunings was self taught & inspired by the late Michael Hedges & although Warren has built a reputation over the years for his finger style solo acoustic music across the United States at high end venues & 5 star resorts, his diversity is vast & projects endless. He has played with many high calibre musicians from every genre including the late guitarist Tim Kelly & famed rock drummer Jon Dette of Slayer/Testament. Warren resides in San Diego with his inspirational wife. He continues playing his original solo acoustic music as well as teaching guitar & music theory to his students of all ages & music genres.He also directs music ensembles. In 2007,Warren began collaborations with guitarist Ruben De Anda & formed the sophisticated diverse acoustic guitar duo "Notas Antiguas". Warren La Plante & Ruben De Anda are both professionally trained, skilled guitarists with very different musical backgrounds whom have blended a rare recipe of Musical Magic in their acoustic duo "Notas Antiguas," Meaning Antique Notes. Warren La Plante's articulate fingerstyle acoustic leads are executed with precison & amazing speed complimented by Ruben De Anda's powerful acoustical rhythms creating performances certain to captivate any audience..................................................
