'Neruda' originates from the band ‘4000’ with Renaud Ghilbert on violin and Jakob Nachtergaele on drums. This band surprised audiences with experimental music and original sounds during some exciting gigs.
All through 2006 Renaud played regularly at ‘Till Roses’, the club of Fred Haezebroek in Hansbeke. Each time Renaud took the stage with different musicians, making every show a unique and exciting event.
It was during these gigs that he met the other band members : Simon Lenski - cello; Filip Wauters – Guitar; Marc De Maeseneer – sax; Luc Van der Stock – bass.
The freshness, creativity and talent of the band’s experienced musicians make Neruda’s sound wonderfully sizzling and continuously evolving.
Het jazz-collectief 'Neruda' is onstaan uit de as van '4000',de groep met Renaud Ghilbert en Jakob Nachtergaele.In de loop van 2006 speelde violist Ghilbert een aantal optredens met verschillende groepsbezettingen,wat resulteerde in heel diverse en boeiende concerten.Tijdens deze optredens ontmoette Ghilbert andere getalenteerde muzikanten die hun sporen verdiend hebben bij o.a Absynthe Minded,DAAU,BackBack en The Whodads...
