About me:

Update - 'Electic lady/poetess/writer/warrior/mother/ imperfect human' I am a writer I live for words and music. Gentle yet fiery..I have a heart of gold, but its hard to live by heart alone these days. I am beginning to live my life as the woman I was meant to be after years of solitude, mistakes and sorrow. I am now fully commited to the power of transformation through creativity. I'm a deep thinker with a constant need for knowledge sometimes unpredictable but mostly more at peace with myself these days. I love reading, long walks in sunlight and moonlight. I try to live a healthy balanced life and my beautiful 15 year old daughter is my world. I am training in counselling and work voluntary in group therapy which has put me in touch with some amazing brave people, true soul sista's and brothers for life. I have recently discovered the beauty of photography, painting and dance. I cannot live without music, poetry and nature. Myspace has put me in touch with some amazing people who have given me inspiration, powerful lessons and shown me love and respect on the whole. The special ones have stuck around in my dark days and showed belief in my strength and determination. I love you all..some too far away to meet in flesh YET.. Others local I have come to know through poetry and music events and have experienced the best times of my life. I have been published in many small press online zines and print you can read some of my work in following places http://black-listedmagazine.blogspot.com/2008/11/hero-inside-by-maria-gornell.html wmode="transparent" /> .. .. .. .. ..

Who I'd like to meet:

A man who will dance with and love the duality of femininity, I hate routine, love spontaneous people unafraid of their own light. All my sisters commited to the power of transformation and love. People who are fully alive and live by TRUTH. First and foremost poets and people who make me smile.. Prefer to meet deep thinking, quirky type people, hopefully with same interests in poetry, music, art, film, travel and spirituality.

    Galarina

    1944-45. Oil on canvas, 66 x 51 cm.
Fundación Gala - Salvador - Dali, Figueras

Gala has often been depicted in Dali's works.  One might even say that she is the only woman whose face and silouette appear there incessantly; the painter says, "She is the rarest being to see, the superstar who cannot in any case be compared with La Callas or Grete Garbo, because one may see them often, whereas Gala is an invisible being, the antiexhibitionist par excellence.  At Salvador Dali's home, there are two prime ministers; one is my wife, Gala, and the other is Salvador Dali.  Salvador Dali and Gala are the two unique beings capable of mathematically moderating and exalting my divine madness."

    A magic moment I remember:
I raised my eyes and you were there.
    A fleeting vision, the quintessence
Of all that's beautiful and rare.

I pray to mute despair and anguish
To vain pursuits the world esteems,
Long did I near your soothing accents,
Long did your features haunt my dreams.

Time passed- A rebel storm-blast scattered
The reveries that once were mine
And I forgot your soothing accents,
    Your features gracefully divine.

In dark days of enforced retirement
I gazed upon grey skies above
With no ideals to inspire me,
No one to cry for, live for, love.

Then came a moment of renaissance,
I looked up- you again are there,
    A fleeting vision, the quintessence
Of all that`s beautiful and rare.

    A.P.
