About me: hi, i'm the founder of a popular website about Internet jargon and online communication... it is NetLingo.com :-)
i am an Internet consultant specializing in online content, community, and marketing. i am also an entrepreneur with a publishing company that tracks the new lingo associated with the online world of business, technology, and communication. i publish a dictionary website that defines thousands of Internet terms and contains the largest collection of text messaging shorthand (and smileys ;-) it is a resource for new users and industry professionals, as well as a reference for students, teachers, and parents. i spend my time updating the site, sending out a monthly Newsletter of Internet Terms, and explaining terms on the NetLingo Webcast. check it out...
part of my mission is to educate and entertain people worldwide about the language of the Internet. as such these pages are NOT in any way, shape, or form intended for business oriented purposes. i'm here to simply make you aware of NetLingo and give you some MySpace tips (see the buttons to the left)! since it first launched in 1994 (the year the web browser was first commercially released) NetLingo has helped millions of people understand this new terminology. and FYI, the unique thing about it is that it's written by me, a woman using layman's language so everyone can understand it. access the dictionary here, enjoy!
Who I'd like to meet:
web gurus, gadget geeks, internet fanatics, online enthusiasts, newbies who don't have a computer clue, savvy people who totally get it, word lovers, trivia buffs, video artists; i want to from all of you "users" out there, whether you're a newbie or techie, student or professional, educator or journalist, teen, parent or senior... you can ask me about those Internet terms you don't what they mean and/or send me new terms you hear...
here's one of my favorite quotes: when we take a risk and step off the edge we must believe one of two things will happen, there will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly.
and here's a word lover's joke :-) A linguistics professor was explaining to his class that there were languages on this earth where a positive and a negative was always positive, some where this was always negative, and some where a double negative was in fact a positive, but that there was no language on earth where a double positive was a negative. To which a student at the back of the class called out, "Yeah right!"

Let me also share with you an interesting find I had recently. This is an interview report on Attraction Acceleration , where Bob Proctor shared how Law of Attraction can be further accelerated!
Hi Erin, Are you currently using a toolbar like google or yahoo? Why not get paid to use one? Better yet why not get paid for the people you tell about who use it? Don't give yourself away when you can make your fair share. Take a look here.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
