The one-minute processed guitar track "Tantallon" on which I collaborated with EDIE 1964 and which features her voice and haiku will be included on the (Vox Novus) 60x60 2009 INTERNATIONAL MIX - I don't know for when the CD release is yet planned. This comprises 60 one minute pieces - and is more modern composition/new music territory. Tantallon will be one of the 60 pieces that will be played as part of the 60x60 (2009 / International Mix) Full Moon Concerts - Long Night's Moon, San Francisco, California on 3 December 2009.... and also as part of 60x60 DANCE (2009 / International Mix) comprising 60 one minute dances by different choreographers organized by JERAMY ZIMMERMAN/ CATSCRATCH THEATRE to be performed at the Electronic Music Midwest Festival, Kansas City, Kansas on 3 November 2009.... New Music Circle, St. Louis, Missouri on 8 November 2009... and in the World Financial Center Winter Garden Atrium, New York City on 13 November 2009. (Tantallon is something like Frippertronics meets Fennesz for lack of a better description - no-one is more surprised than me to find myself releasing something on guitar - I still pick it up and play every day but for years it has only been in my music as samples in ways people would mistake for a synth. ((^_>^)

(Dear German speakers - I apologise - know that it should be Neue but I like the shape better and it's less likely to be replicated again)

I came to MySpace in early 2006 to take part in a NIN remix competition. My account was terminated later because someone didn't realise that it was an official competition and a copyright complaint made against me was upheld. Hard to bear after a lot of effort on the song and losing friends contacts. i don't hold a grudge though - it's understandable on a site of this size. ....................................................................................................................................
I was regally dischuffed at the time though, but I took it pretty well - I only sulked for nine months - one for every nail. Following the stunning success of the inaugural Glasgow R&B Festival we deliver a killer blow to 2009 with the festival's first Hogmanay Hootenanny. The New Year starts with a bang with headline shows from the city's hottest Rhythm & Blues bands and an all star collection of Scotland's top DJ's. The R n' B Festival will once again showcase the very best in contemporary Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Rock n' Roll and Ska.
From 10pm until 5am we will see in the New Year at The V Club (375 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow). The Main Room will house the Festival Dance Floor with live performances from The Five Aces, The Bottleneckers and The Privates Hammond Orchestra. The party will be kept going into the wee hours with star turns from our DJ's. The Upstairs room will be the home of Ska Goes Soul, part chill out room, part house party featuring DJ's playing the best in Soul and Ska Music.
