THE NEURONIUM HISTORY 1977-2009 :
32 years of ELECTRONIC MUSIC by MICHEL HUYGEN

MICHEL HUYGEN, synthesist , creates NEURONlUM in
1976. He records in 1977 with Carlos Guirao and Albert Giménez for the English label EMI- HARVEST ,
the first album of NEURONIUM entitled
QUASAR 2C361, also being the first disc of cosmic music ever recorded in Spain .
In 1978, NEURONIUM records their second album
VUELO QUIMlCO, also for HARVEST , with the extraordinary participation of NlCO,
then ex singer of the LOU REED's band , THE
VELVET UNDERGROUND. Several important concerts:
Plaza de Toros de Benidorm, Teatro Martín de
Madrid, Palacio de los Deportes de Bilbao (with a great success, by the way)
, and in the football stadium of Barakaldo
in front of 11,000 people. The 7 of May 1978,
NEURONIUM participates in the Festival of Science Fiction of Metz (France), representing Spain.
In 1980, NEURONIUM leaves HARVEST
and decides to record with Auvi .
DIGITAL DREAM is the first album of NEURONIUM in its new company ,
as a duo of keyboard players,
with the contribution of a new guitarist called SANTI
PICÓ.
In February of 1981, NEURONIUM records its new album THE VlSlTOR,
a new step forward and simultaneously different in the style of the band .
In March of 1981, the group travels for the first time to London, invited by VANGELlS,
in order to perform together music composed by Michel Huygen, for a show of television, filmed by Spanish Television for its program MUSICAL EXPRESS. The result is really amazing and the symbiosis is total between both styles and sounds.
In May of 1981, album THE VISITOR is sold-out in one month after its official release.
After the release of CHROMIUM ECHOES, fifth album of NEURONIUM ,
Carlos Guirao leaves the group and therefore NEURONIUM follows , commanded exclusively by Michel Huygen, its creator.
Michel releases simultaneously the fifth album of NEURONIUM and his first solo album
titled ABSENCE OF REALlTY, a very relaxing and intimate disc.
We are in 1982.
In 1983, Michel Huygen records the sixth album of NEURONIUM , INVISIBLE VlEWS,
with Santi Picó on guitar.
At the end of 1983 and beginning of 1984 , Michel Huygen records his second solo album titled CAPTURING HOLOGRAMS. Michel signs for the British label ZOMBA, that decides to release a new dedicated label of electronic music : its name is JIVE ELECTRO.
In September of 1984, NEURONIUM gives his first great concert in England, like head of poster of the prestigious British festival of electronic music UK ELECTRONICA 84. The concert achieves an enormous success with three encore, and the room of OCTAGON CENTER of Sheffield …standstill .
It is the big way-in of Neuronium in England.
Probably due to his intuition, Michel decides to release onthe market an album with the sound track of the film OLYMPICALLY DIED, of which Michel , is author ,
under the generic title of BARCELONA 1992.
The definitive mixing of this album takes place in January of 1986, and the release is in March of the same year ,6 months before the election of Barcelona as city for the Olympic Games of Summer of 1992.
In May of 1986, Michel is the person in charge of the department of electronic music of the Center of Art Queen Sofía of Madrid, inaugurated by Her Majesty the Queen that same month.
In September of 1986, Michel Huygen and Santi Picó play two concerts at the Planetarium of London next to the museum of Madame Tussaud. The music of BARCELONA 1992 is featured during this concert, with a laser beams spectacle by Laserium.
In November of 1986, NEURONIUM gives an important concert in the S.I.M.O, fair of computer science of Madrid, offering the new spectacle of Tomás C.Gilsanz, as closing act of this international contest.
In February of 1987, a special album of NEURONIUM is released , to celebrate the tenth anniversary on disc of the electronic music of Michel Huygen , its title is ALMA (soul in english) , and contains new mixes of well-known tracks by NEURONIUM, plus an unreleased track until then, but well known by the TV audience , since it is the signature tune of the prime time program of the TVE called LA TARDE.
Between January and June of 1987, Michel records and releases the 9th album of NEURONIUM titled SUPRANATURAL playing himself absolutely all the instruments.
The album is released in October of 1987,
with a series of 12 concerts in the Planetarium of Madrid, concerts completely “sold-out”.
These concerts in Madrid constitute probably the most wonderful carried out sonic and visual experience by Michel Huygen and Tomás C.Gilsanz, since the projections of paintings of T.C.Gilsanz take place on the vault of the Planetarium using 48 slide projectors drived by computer.
During these concerts of the Planetarium of Madrid, the music is digitally live recorded: an album is released worldwide with the title of FROM MADRID TO HEAVEN (Neuronium in concert).
In September of 1988, Michel returns as the headline act of the British festival of electronic music UK ELECTRONICA 88. The concert takes place in the church of St.John's Hall, in Westminster, the 3 of September of 1988. This concert includes an ex member of TANGERINE DREAM, and also friend of Michel , STEVE JOLIFFE. The result of the fusion between the special music of Neuronium and the skill on the Oboe, clarinet and flute of Steve Joliffe, with laser rays illuminating the vault of the church , completely fills the concert place with a very special atmosphere.
In 1988, new series of documentary are being filmed on old disappeared civilizations, in Peru and Mexico. Michel composes the complete sound track of the 26 chapters of 30 minutes each one. He releases in 1990, a compact disc of 77 minutes with the most important trackas of the series. The title of the album is OLlM, long ago in Latin.
Between July and November of 1988, Michel releases an album titled ELIXIR with the most special tracks of the series about the Incas and the Mayans.
In 1989, Michel begins the recording of a new disc of Neuronium , NUMERlCA, a romantic digital symphony in eight movements. It constitutes a great international success for the music of Neuronium.
Between October of 1989 and April of 1990, Michel composes , records and mixes his new single album INTlMO, the deepest, innermost and revealing of all. It is the special and emotional complement of NUMERlCA. In that period,
Michel receives the order for the soundtrack of a new TV series by FERNANDO JIMÉNEZ DEL OSO, y JUAN JOSÉ BENITEZ entitled EN BUSCA DEL MISTERIO.
The 7 of April of 1990, Michel Huygen gives a great concert as closing act of the first festival of San Sebastián of New Musics, in the wonderful place of the Abbey of San Telmo, in the city .
In May of 1990, Michel records a specially compound subject for a disc of tribute to the brilliant Catalan painter SALVADOR DALÍ ; this disc with the global title of DALI: THE ENDLESS ENlGMA, is released in USA by Coriolis Records. In this very special album, composers like Klaus Schulze, Steve Roach, Michael Stearns are present and Michel Huygen composes for this unique occasion, EL GRAN MASTURBADOR . This track by Michel is only available on this compact disc.
At the end of August of 1990, Michel begins the composition and recording of the new album of Neuronium entitled SYBARIS, with a totally new concept within the Neuronium sound, but also at level of the cover of the album: the most spectacular and expensive never done for a disc of Neuronium; it is released at the end of 1991.
One month later , the soundtrack of the series of television EN BUSCA DEL MlSTERlO is released, as a solo album by Michel.
In February of 1992, and for to celebrate the 15 years of record career of Neuronium in the international electronic music field , EXTRlSlMO is released. But this point is not a final one !

In 1993 a new album of Neuronium, double, with a very special content , is released .
The title is ONIRIA suggestive by itself... It is the 20th album composed by Michel.
In 1994, a new compact by Michel Huygen appears: INFlNlTO, dedicated to the sudden death of three of his best friends during 1993. INFINITO will be the most thrilling recording ever published by Michel...But in 1994 also, Michel decides and as a unique project , to release a very special album givinga
pleasant musical atmosphere during any meal , : the title is MUSICA PARA LA BUENA
MESA (Music for gourmets), only released in Spain...!
But in 1995 (anywhere in the world) in June and December of 1996 (in Spain) ASTRALlA is released : an invitation to the astral trip with return ticket, through a suite of 70 minutes…Prepared for the trip? Totally cosmic , with the collaboration of Dr. Fernando Jiménez Del Oso...
The 17 of June of 1995, and as closing act of SONAR' 95 , the international Festival of Advanced Musics of Barcelona, Michel plays for the first time in public, ASTRALIA music, with the cosmic visuals of Tomás C.Gilsanz. This concert takes place in the auditorium of the CCCB, that is to say the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona.
The 1st of July of 1995, Spain happens to preside over the Council of the European Union, and Michel Huygen receives the order to compose the musical subject that will serve as standard for the CD ROM released in Spain in 1995. Michel titles the track
"ESPAÑA EN CLAVE FUTURA".
In 1996, Michel Huygen undertakes the composition of a new album that will be released in 1977: PSYKYA. An extremely complex album at spiritual level and that simultaneously becomes the album of greater success in the career of Michel Huygen/Neuronium ...to date.
Also during this year,A SEPARATE AFFAIR is released , an album with music by Michel Huygen and performed by Neuronium and VANGELIS .
In 1997 , Michel remasters his album INTIMO , as a definitive version and including a new track called You , only available on this new version of the album....
In 1998 , Michel prepares the composition and records what will constitute the publication of an album dedicated to the extraterrestrial civilizations: ALIENIKON ,with the participation of the electric guitar by SANTI PICÓ , the guitarist who has been collaborating with Neuronium for almost 20 years. An essential one for Michel, according to its words.
Few months later , in 1999, ULTRACOSMOS is released , an album of purely cosmic music and with a duration of 70 minutes non stop, is to say an album to let furthermost fly the imagination until confines of the space
Year 2000 will see the light of DIRECTO AL CORAZÓN ,the album nominated in Spain to the V Premios de la Música (Musical Awards of Spain) ,as best album in all categories (Pop,rock,jaz...),next to Alexander Sanz and la Oreja de Van Gogh.. This album , the28th by Michel Huygen , is a pure album of romantic and cybernetic music !
At the end of year 2000, Michel releases as Neuronium , a new and y 29thº album titled HYDRO and dedicated to the basic element of the life: water. This album is nominated in February of 2001 as better album of the New Musics for V Premios de la Música de España (Spain music awards).
And history is just starting now...
In 2001 , Michel Huygen has reached the million copies of records sold in his career ,from all his releases together.
Year 2002 sees the creation of the label NEURONIUM RECORDS as the personal label of Michel Huygen and distributed worldwide by BLANCO y NEGRO MUSIC from Barcelona.
On this label , top artists like Suzanne Ciani , Constance Demby , Jonn Serrie and many others are actually releasing their respective music.
Michel releases his 30th album titled PLACEBO on his new label in June 2002 , but in September of 2002, the new album by Neuronium titled AZIZI is released , it is to say a totally singular disc .. to dream…and fly far away but with a new concept of Neuronium sounds…This is the 31st album composed by Michel Huygen,but not the last one…A track is dedicated to his good friend for years and actress : Mrs. Audrey Hepburn .
During the year 2003 , Michel releases a special album entitled SOPLO VITAL, specially done for the struggle against anorexia and bulimia.
In June 2003, Michel Huygen joins forces with Pascal Languirand (composer and author of the multi-million seller hit LIVING ON VIDEO ) and together the 2 musicians release an album called LSD under the artistic name of CYBERNIUM. Extremely cosmic and floating music in the mood of the years 70’s but with the electronics and technology of the 21st century !
April 2005 was the date for the release of the brand new Neuronium album and the 32nd composed by Michel. MYSTYKATEA is the title of that album by Neuronium and it is probably the deepest , more cosmic and transgressor album ever composed by Michel Huygen…
But the year 2006 saw the arrival of SYNAPSIA, the 33rd album by Michel/Neuronium…An album being part of the trilogy with MYSTYKATEA and the future 3rd album of such and titled NIHILOPHOBIA due for later in the year 2007…SYNAPSIA is also one of the 3 finalists at the Spanish Music Awards of 2007 brining a fantastic feedback from this special album.
In December 2006 , the new Michel Huygenm’s album entitled ANGKOR is released in a special and new collection called EXTREME MEDITATION. This is the first volume of such collection and fans of Michel will be delighted by his most intimate , soft and surrounding aerial music…
In April 2007, the best compilation album by Michel is released. Its title is MAGIC SAMUI , an album of very romantic music inspired by the beautiful landscape of the marvellous thai island of Koh Samui where Michel will have his home in a very next future .This album is without any doubt the perfect compilation from Michel’s very best romantic electronic music .
In May 2007 , IRAWADI , the volume 2 of the EXTREME MEDITATION collection is released
And one more time the whole sensation of the album will surround the listener with mental landscapes based on the real country of Myanmar and its history...
July 2007 : re-edition of INTIMO , the most intimate album by Michel under his own name Michel Huygen…His almost “legendary” track TENDERNESS is one more time the start of the album and
the booklet included on the new Ultra Edition 2107 of INTIMO on a luxury Digipack format with new designs and cover , contains the poems written by Michel in 3 languages: English , French and Spanish…
The year 2009 got the release of his brand new Neuronium album: NIHILOPHOBIA…and also his 36th album !

MICHEL HUYGEN, sintesista, crea NEURONlUM en
1976. Graba en 1977 junto a Carlos Guirao y Albert Giménez para el sello inglés HARVEST de

En Febrero de 1981, NEURONIUM graba su cuarto
álbum titulado THE VlSlTOR, un nuevo paso hacia
adelante y a la vez diferente en la carrera del grupo .
En Marzo de 1981, el grupo viaja por primera vez a
Londres, invitado por VANGELlS, para interpretar juntos
música compuesta por Michel Huygen, para un show de
televisión, filmado por Televisión Española para su
programa MUSICAL EXPRESS. EL resultado es
realmente asombroso y la simbiosis es total entre los dos
estilos y sonidos .
En Mayo de 1981, el álbum THE VISITOR se agota en
un mes después de su salida al mercado .
Después del lanzamiento de CHROMIUM ECHOES, el
quinto álbum de NEURONIUM, Carlos Guirao deja el
grupo y por lo tanto NEURONIUM sigue capitaneado
exclusivamente por Michel Huygen, su creador. Michel
lanza al mercado y al mismo tiempo que el quinto álbum de
NEURONIUM, su primer álbum sólo titulado ABSENCE
OF REALlTY, un disco muy relajante e intimista.
Estamos en el año 1982 .
En 1983, Michel Huygen graba el sexto álbum de
NEURONIUM titulado INVISIBLE VlEWS, con Santi

A finales de 1983 y principios de 1984, Michel Huygen
graba su segundo álbum sólo titulado CAPTURING
HOLOGRAMS. Michel firma para todo el mundo con el

En Septiembre de 1984, NEURONIUM da su primer gran
concierto en Inglaterra, como cabeza de cartel del
prestigioso festival británico de música electrónica UK
ELECTRONICA'84. EL concierto obtiene un enorme
éxito con tres bises, y la sala del OCTAGON CENTER
de Sheffield en pie. NEURONIUM acaba de entrar de
lleno en Inglaterra.
Probablemente debido a su intuición, Michel decide lanzar al
mercado un álbum con la banda sonora de la película
OLÍMPICAMENTE MUERTO, de la cual es autor
Michel, bajo el título genérico de BARCELONA 1992. La
mezcla definitiva de este álbum tiene lugar en Enero de
1986, y se publica el disco en Marzo de 1986, unos meses
antes de la elección de Barcelona como sede de la
Olimpiadas de Verano de 1992.
En Mayo de 1986, Michel es encargado de ser el
responsable del departamento de música electrónica del
Centro de Arte Reina Sofía de Madrid, inaugurado por su
Majestad la Reina ese mismo mes.
En Septiembre de 1986, Michel Huygen y Santi Picó
ofrecen dos conciertos en el Planetario de Londres junto al
museo de Madame Tussaud. Se presenta en concierto la
música de BARCELONA 1992, junto a un espectáculo de
rayos láser por Laserium.
En Noviembre de 1986, NEURONIUM da un importante
concierto en el S.I.M.O, feria de informática de Madrid,
presentando el nuevo espectáculo de Tomás C.Gilsanz,
como clausura de este certamen internacional.
En Febrero de 1987, se lanza al mercado un álbum especial
de NEURONIUM, para celebrar el décimo aniversario
sobre disco de la música electrónica de Michel Huygen, su
título es ALMA, y contiene nuevas mezclas de conocidos
temas de NEURONIUM, más un tema inédito hasta
entonces en disco, pero bien conocido de los
telespectadores, ya que se trata de la sintonía del programa
de TVE llamado LA TARDE.
Entre Enero y Junio de 1987, Michel graba y lanza el
noveno álbum de NEURONIUM titulado
SUPRANATURAL, en el que toca absolutamente todos
los instrumentos. El álbum se lanza en Octubre de 1987,
mediante una serie de 6 conciertos en el Planetario de
Madrid, conciertos con llenos absolutos. Estos conciertos
en Madrid constituyen probablemente la más maravillosa
experiencia sonora y visual llevada a cabo por Michel
Huygen y Tomás C.Gilsanz, ya que las proyecciones de las
pinturas de T.C.Gilsanz tienen lugar sobre la bóveda del
Planetario mediante 48 proyectores de diapositivas dirigidos por ordenador.
Durante estos conciertos del Planetario de Madrid, se graba
en directo y en grabación digital un álbum que es lanzado en
todo el mundo con el título de FROM MADRID TO
HEAVEN (Neuronium in concert).
En Septiembre de 1988, Michel vuelve a ser la máxima
figura del festival británico de música electrónica UK
ELECTRONICA 88. Su concierto tiene lugar en la iglesia
de St.John's Hall, en Westminster, el 3 de Septiembre de
1988. Le acompaña en dicho concierto el ex-músico de
TANGERINE DREAM, y también amigo de Michel,
STEVE JOLIFFE. EI resultado de la fusión entre la
especial música de Neuronium y la maestría al oboe,
clarinete y flauta travesera de Steve Joliffe, todo ello unido a
rayos lásers iluminando la bóveda de la iglesia.
En 1988, se están filmando nuevas series de documentales
sobre antiguas civilizaciones desaparecidas, en Perú y
México. Michel compone la banda sonora completa de los
26 capítulos de media hora cada uno. Se lanza al mercado
en 1990, un compact disc de 77 minutos con los temas más
importantes de la serie. EI título del álbum es OLlM, antaño
en latín.
Entre Julio y Noviembre de 1988, Michel lanza también un
nuevo álbum solo titulado ELIXIR con los temas más
especiales de las series sobre los Incas y los Mayas.
En 1989, Michel empieza la grabación de un nuevo disco de
Neuronium titulado NUMERlCA, una sinfonía digital
romántica en ocho movimientos. Constituye un gran éxito

graba y mezcla su nuevo álbum solo INTlMO, el más
profundo, intimista y revelador de todos. Es el complemento
especial y emocional de NUMERlCA. En ese período,
Michel recibe el encargo para la banda sonora de una nueva
serie de FERNANDO JIMENEZ DEL OSO, y JUAN
JOSÉ BENITEZ titulada EN BUSCA DEL
MISTERIO.
EI 7 de Abril de 1 990, Michel Huygen da un gran concierto
como clausura del primer festival de San Sebastián de
Nuevas Músicas, en el maravilloso marco de la abadía de
San Telmo, en la ciudad donostiarra.
En Mayo de 1990, Michel graba un tema especialmente
compuesto para un disco de homenaje al genial pintor
catalán SALVADOR DALI; este disco con el título global
de DALI: THE ENDLESS ENlGMA, es editado en
Estados Unidos por Coriolis Records. En este álbum muy
especial, se reúnen músicos como Klaus Schulze, Steve
Roach, Michael Stearns y Michel Huygen compone para
esta ocasión única, EL GRAN MASTURBADOR. Este
tema de Michel solamente esta disponible en este compact
disc.
A finales de Agosto de 1990, Michel empieza la
composición y grabación del nuevo álbum de Neuronium
titulado SYBARIS, con un concepto totalmente nuevo
dentro del sonido Neuronium, pero también a nivel de la
portada del álbum: la más espectacular y costosa jamás
hecha para un disco de Neuronium; se lanza a finales de
1991.
Un mes después se lanza al mercado la banda sonora de la
serie de televisión EN BUSCA DEL MlSTERlO, como
disco solista de Michel.
En Febrero de 1992, y para celebrar los 15 años de carrera
discográfica de Neuronium
en el panorama internacional, EXTRlSlMO es lanzado al
mercado.
Pero este punto no es ni mucho menos final.
En 1993, aparece un nuevo álbum de Neuronium, dole, con
un contenido muy especial.
Su título es ONIRIA sugerente por sí solo...Es el 20º álbum
compuesto por Michel.
En 1994, un nuevo compacto solo de Michel Huygen
aparece: INFlNlTO, dedicado a la muerte repentina de tres
de sus mejores amigos durante 1993. INFINITO será el
disco más intimista jamás publicado por Michel...Pero en
1994 también, Michel decide y a modo de proyecto único y
especial, hacer un recopilatorio selectivo para conseguir un
ambiente musical agradable durante cualquier comida, pero
con música que aísle y permita a la vez un tono de voz
normal, audible: se trata de MUSICA PARA LA BUENA
MESA, en lanzamiento exclusivo para España...! Pero
Diciembre de 1995 (en todo el mundo) y Junio de 1996
(España) verá el lanzamiento de ASTRALlA: una invitación
al viaje astral con billete de retorno, a través de una suite de
67 minutos...
¿ Preparados para el viaje? Será el álbum numero 24
compuesto por Michel Huygen, totalmente cósmico, con la
colaboración del Dr. Fernando Jiménez Del Oso...El 17
de Junio de 1 995, y como concierto de clausura de
SONAR'95, el festival internacional de Músicas Avanzadas
de Barcelona, Michel interpreta por primera vez en público,
música de ASTRALIA, junto a las proyecciones cósmicas
de Tomás C.Gilsanz. Este concierto tiene lugar en el
auditorio del CCCB, es decir el Centro de Cultura
Contemporánea de Barcelona.
El 1 de Julio de 1995, España pasa a presidir El Consejo de
la Unión Europea, y Michel Huygen recibe el encargo de
componer el tema musical que sirve de estandarte a un CD
ROM titulado "e" España 1995. Michel titula este tema
"ESPAÑA EN CLAVE FUTURA".
En 1996 , Michel Huygen emprende la composición de un nuevo álbum que verá la luz en 1997. PSYKYA. Un álbum extremadamente complejo a nivel espiritual y que a la vez se convierte en el álbum de mayor éxito de la carrera de Michel Huygen / Neuronium hasta la fecha.
También durante este año,se edita A SEPARATE AFFAIR , un álbum con música de Michel Huygen e interpretado por el propio Michel y VANGELIS .
En 1997 , Michel remasteriza su álbum INTIMO ,para una versión definitiva a la que le añade un tema inédito y nuevo para la ocasión. El éxito internacional es realmente espectacular...
En 1998 , Michel prepara para la composición y graba lo que constituirá la publicación de un álbum dedicado a las civilizaciones extra-terrestres: ALIENIKON ,con la participación a la guitarra eléctrica de SANTI PICÓ , el guitarrista que colabora con Neuronium desde hace ya casi 20 años. Un imprescindible para Michel ,según sus palabras.
Pocos meses después,se publica en 1999, ULTRACOSMOS , un álbum de música puramente cósmica y con una duración de 70 minutos non stop ,es decir un álbum para dejar volar la imaginación hasta los confines del espacio más lejano.
El año 2000 verá la luz de DIRECTO AL CORAZÓN ,el álbum nominado en España por los V premios de la Música ,como mejor álbum del año en todas las categorías (Pop,rock,jaz...),junto a Alejandro Sanz y la Oreja de Van Gogh.. Este álbum,el 28º de la discografía de Michel Huygen , es un álbum de pura música romántica cibernética.
A finales del año 2000, Michel publica bajo su nombre de Neuronium, un nuevo y 29 º álbum titulado HYDRO y dedicado al elemento base de la vida: el agua. Este álbum es nominado en Febrero de 2001 como mejor álbum de Nuevas Músicas en los V premios de la Música de España.
Y la historia solamente acaba de empezar...
En 2001 , Michel Huygen acaba de alanzar prácticamente el millón de álbumes vendidos en todo el mundo.
El año 2002 ve la creación del sello NEURONIUM RECORDS como sello personal de Michel Huygen y distribuido en todo el mundo por BLANCO y NEGRO Music de Barcelona.
Michel lanza su 30º álbum PLACEBO en este nuevo sello, en Junio de 2002 , pero en Septiembre de 2002 ve también la luz , el nuevo álbum de Neuronium titulado AZIZI ,que en en el idioma swahili
significa ‘ objeto único , valioso y preciado ‘,es decir un disco totalmente singular y para soñar...
En Junio de 2003, Michel prepara el lanzamiento de un disco muy especial de apoyo a una nueva fundación para luchar contra la anorexia y la bulimia .Los fondos íntegros de las ventas del álbum titulado SOPLO VITAL irán destinados a ayudar a todos aquellas personas que no pueden permitirse económicamente pagar un tratamiento para resolver este mal de nuestro tiempo que afecta a tantas personas jóvenes de ambos sexos. Este disco se lanza a mediados de Junio 2003 y solamente se puede adquirir a través de la Asociación ANOREXBU o de sus puntos de ventas autorizados ...
Y este mismo mes de Junio , se lanza un álbum muy especial de música ultra cósmica titulado LSD . El disco se elabora con dos músicos, el propio Michel y el compositor canadiense Pascal Languirand , autor entre otras obras del multimillonario título LIVING ON VIDEO . El dúo se presenta y lanza este álbum bajo el nombre de CYBERNIUM . Se trata del espíritu del sonido planeador de los años 70 en la escuela de Berlin (Tangerine Dream , AshRa Temple) pero con la tecnología de hoy en día y la manera peculiar de componer de los dos artistas .
El año 2005...empieza con la grabación del nuevo y 32º álbum de Michel Huygen pero bajo su nombre artístico de Neuronium. El título del álbum es MYSTYKATEA y alrededor de un tema principal, se desdibuja una obra a modo de banda sonora para una película imaginaria. MYSTYKATEA posee todos los ingredientes para hacer que durante una hora entera, el oyente se vea envuelto en millones de sensaciones en el más puro estilo Neuronium. El álbum posee además una pista multimedia con el videoclip del tema principal del álbum. Un clásico en el futuro dentro de la trayectoria de Neuronium ,es decir la música de Michel Huygen...
Pero el año 2006 ve también la llegada de un disco absolutamente único a modo de “incienso” musical , para dejar volar la mente en un entorno placentero de ondas que mecerán al oyente una y otra vez Un disco de apoyo total a la eutanasia...Su título es SYNAPSIA...Es el segundo de una trilogía empezada con MYSTYKATEA y que finalizará con NIHILOPHOBIA en 2007 .Su lanzamiento tiene lugar en Septiembre de 2006 ya distribuido por al nueva compañía que llevará todo el catálogo de Neuronium y del sello Neuronium Records, es decir ANIMAMUSIC de Barcelona .Un cambio importante con una nueva dirección…BRAINSUCKER , tema clave en el álbum es un homenaje a todos aquellos que padecen una enfermedad terminal y de allí la portada del álbum : la visualización de un ser maligno al acecho, es decir la enfermedad Terminal . Pero no se trata de un álbum y tema tristes , sino música esperanzadora a la vez que ultra electrónica …
Y finalmente … por ahora, en Diciembre 2006 tiene lugar el lanzamiento de ANGKOR , un nuevo álbum de Michel huygen dentro de una nueva serie de CD’s titulada EXTREME MEDITATION . Este primer volumen de la serie está dedicada a un lugar mágico en el planeta tierra, situado en Camboya y cuyo máximo tesoro cultural es el templo milenario de Angkor Wat , pieza central del álbum de Michel …
El volumen 2 de EXTREME MEDITATION , es decir el álbum titulado IRAWADI por Michel Huygen aparece en el mercado en Junio de 2007 . Los paisajes absolutamente únicos de Myanmar (antigua Birmania) y sus lugares históricos de gran belleza son la fuente de inspiración del compositor…
Pero lejos de acabar aquí las novedades, un nuevo DVD espectacular y de relajación visual ve la luz , HYDRO, el álbum de Neuronium convertido en imágenes tridimensionales por el pintor Tomás Gilsanz…
Poco después , se lanza MAGIC SAMUI , el recopilatorio más romántico de Michel Huygen con sus temás que van más directamente a la parte sensible del ser humano…Contiene en un formato Digipack , un libreto que ilustra de forma clara la magnífica isla tropical de Thailandia llamada Koh Samui . Un disco sin lugar a dudas de cómoda escucha y sensibilidad más que patente en toda su extensión …
Julio de 2007 : INTIMO , the Ultra Edition es lanzado al mercado con motivo de los 30 años de carrera de Michel , en una versión de lujo en formato digipack con un libreto que contiene nuevos diseños y los peomas escritos por Michel Huygen en tres idiomas: español , francés e inglés . TERNURA , el casi legendario tema musical de Michel abre como siempre este nuevo amanecer musical de INTIMO , el disco más intimista de Michel y el que desvela de forma palpable la personalidad y sentimientos del propio Michel ante la vida y el concepto del amor y el cariño…
2009 : lanzamiento de NIHILOFOBIA por Neuronium , el álbum que completa la trilogía empezada con MYSTYKATEA y SYNAPSIA de Neuronium …
Se trata del 36º álbum compuesto por Michel Huygen , pero desde luego …¡No el último!
