The first band to take the stage, Neuropraxia, this awesome band proved to be a thoroughly (un)pleasant surprise. Gory samples, pig squeals, blastbeats, gurgling gutturals and a crazed frontman wearing an apron of human faces, all laid over a sickening old-school Carcass groove, ensured that these filthy pornogrinders had no need to worry about getting lost in the crowd. This style of ultra-brutal grinding madness is rarely seen around this area; in fact, to my knowledge, Neuropraxia is the only such band in Philly.
