From the gruesome, slimy abyss of southern California four scumbags are slithering their way to the surface with plans of total chaos and destruction. These four foul beings desired a name for their devious militia so they began brainstorming titles. After months of bloody vendettas and sinister arguments they agreed to refer to their malicious organization as Neurotoxin. Neurotoxin consists of two sets of brothers, descendants of ancient warrior/musician tribes who fought tirelessly for global domination. From the Compton tribe we have “Savage City” on bass and “President” on drums. From the Hernandez clan there is “Wildcat Matt” on guitar and “Johnny Toxin” on vocals/guitar. Each member was equally born of hatred and evil and each member is a grand master in the art of “INTOXINCATION”.
The results of their numerous secret meetings gave birth to one ingeniously grotesque strategy: To use heavy metal music to disguise their true intentions. They would hide their odorless, tasteless “love juice” in the sound waves of their music. Once heard, the music would impregnate the listener be it man or woman! For sixty nine months the host would go to all of Neurotoxin’s concerts and events and buy all of their merchandise under the control of the parasitic fetus within. On the last day of the sixty ninth month, the host would give birth to a fully grown shape shifter/cougar which would then proceed to mercilessly disembowel its host. The shape shifter/cougar would then shape shift to human form and become an honorary member of the Toxin Crew.
In order to release their records to the unsuspecting masses, Neurotoxin started their own record label. They dubbed the label “Prison Shank Records” and released a full length record titled “Harvest Your Wrath” and an E.P. titled “VSL” in 2004 and 2007 respectively. Both records have received critical praise. Explicitly Intense Magazine wrote: “If this is any indication of what Neurotoxin is capable of, Harvest Your Wrath is only the beginning for this promising young act.” Skinnie Magazine was bribed to write this: “A cross between east coast hardcore and old school metal. The titles are genius. Head banging never felt so good!” Quintessence Metal Webzine was seduced and ordered to say: “This is probably one of the best thrash records I’ve received in recent years!” Fools, they are all fools controlled by the shape shifting cougar fetus inside! With plans to embark on a national tour Neurotoxin is well on their way to annihilating a city near you. You will get your chance to be INTOXINCATED!

I’m writing this letter to garner support for an upcoming public hearing by the LADBS (Los Angeles Bldg. and Safety) against our venue on Thursday July 17th 2008.
The Los Angeles Building Department is aggressively trying to revoke our CUP (Conditional Use Permit), for those of you who don’t know, a CUP is the conditions that all Restaurants, bars, clubs etc must run under in order to keep their doors open, if you lose your CUP, you are essential closed for business. After eight years in a crime riddled Hollywood corridor, the LADBS and vice, states that our venue is a “nuisance” and we do not comply under “upscale restaurant guidelines” (nonsense, food is always served and continues service and will someone please define “upscale” for me). They are also trying to say we do a steady stream of Erotica here, which is absurd, as we’ve only had 3 Adult Entertainment parties over 8 years and 10,000 shows.
Bar owners beware; the city is on a major crack down for what they deem CUP violations.
Knitting Factory was lured to this location and has served as the anchor tenant to re vamp this neighborhood. Suddenly, as the neighborhood has pushed the drug dealers out, the rents up, built condos and turned our complex from an Entertainment Center to a retail center, we are no longer wanted. When we moved into this location the crime statistics where 3 times higher than the city average, the corner of Hollywood and Sycamore sat only 1 block North of the 18th street Gang. In 2004, this corner was used as the first corner to install cameras as a test to stop crime.
We’ve endured tremendous hardship from 2004 to 2007 in this complex, whilst LA Fitness, DSW, Longs and Fresh and Easy were built around us (joy and thrill to be in a mall) and Galaxy Movie Theatre, Hollywood Ent. Museum, Tower Records all went out of business. We still have “no” visible sign
