Pianist, teacher, composer and accordionist, Neva Tesolin grew up in the music milieu of Niagara. Classically trained on piano, roots in pop, rock, ragtime, swing, blues and jazz, her music shows a wealth of influences. Brock University faculty debuted her classical piece, "Miniatures in India" a cello/piano suite (2004); her jazz song, "When Sunlight Doesn't Sparkle" was arranged for the Niagara Symphony (2004); and her other songs are recorded and being played by the duo Stewed Roots and BroadBand. Recent recordings: Stewed Roots - 'In the Middle of This'- produced by Paul Mills (02/2008) Betsy Tauro and Neva Tesolin - 'Who Said it's Diamonds' , 4 of my originals mixed in with popular torch/jazz songs, a vocal/piano duet- produced by Mark Lalama (still to be released); BroadBand - self-titled and produced, originals by all the Broads, (2002). As a session player, she's recorded with Mr. Rick and the Biscuits (Whole Grain-2008) and Mike Lynch (Entertainer Tonight-2009). Neva freelances in the Niagara-Toronto area, on piano and accordion in jazz, blues, folk, celtic, country or cajun styles.
