Nevea Tears on their new album “Run with the Hunted”:
“When we released “Do I have to…” we were excited with the response from fans who believed we were doing something new and exciting. We had something we could have run with but we didn’t push hard enough and with member changes it just kind of hit a plateau and then descended. In all this time thousands more hardcore bands were forming and the genre was becoming more and more saturated. Realizing we had missed our mark, we started all over again and had to come up with a new idea. That’s when we came up with the idea to call our new CD “Run with the Hunted.” We found ourselves in a pack of bands that we were desperately trying to separate ourselves from. It has been such a struggle and thats what we wanted to convey in our lyrics. That is what the new Nevea CD is all about, struggle. Everyone goes through pain and has to keep moving on. Struggle is universal. Struggle is what makes life worth living. Some people go through more than others. We all have our different stories. This is our collective story. The passed three years trimmed down into 13 songs, about an hour of music. This was our lives, and this is what we have to show for it.”
