    Never Drafted is a four-piece post-hardcore / punk band from Montreal, Canada. We have released a demo and an EP. We will be releasing our first full-length studio album early 2011. The band has played with such major bands as The Fall of Troy, The Flatliners, The Artist Life, Passenger Action and Carpenter. We like to make original, creative music that is fun to listen to. We take our music very seriously – we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our live act is our main motivation. We like to meet people who are as passionate about making and/or listening to good music as us. We plan on bringing our music to anyone who will listen, willingly or not. We also plan on enjoying ourselves with everyone we play with and for. We are also very, very stubborn.

In Arms, the breakout full-length studio debut by Montreal’s standard-bearing post-hardcore / punk outfit Never Drafted, puts the band squarely in opposition to the vagaries of the moment. These four minds have crafted a work that is both soulful and visceral, impulsive and thoughtful – in short, a deep and energetic expression of their opinions on the state of music and of the world.

From the spitfire “Codex,” to the ironshod “Aegis,” and from the indignant “Below the Abacists” to the anthemic call to arms that is “An End to Words,” In Arms is an album that pays tribute to the band’s many and wide-ranging influences, from At the Drive-In, Thrice, Brand New and The Fall of Troy, to recent upstart acts like La Dispute and Protest the Hero.

Never Drafted’s commitment to putting forth an authentic and honest representation of their music led the band to use no studio tricks or artifices that would have deceptively enhanced their sound. What In Arms is, then, is a genuine, gut-wrenching, thought-inducing visit to a world created by four friends who truly let their passion for music pilot their art.

In Arms will be available worldwide on demand in major brick-and-mortar music stores and through most digital retailers in March 2011.
