New Beat Society was formed in August of 2005 as a three piece group with Ben Soltau on bass, Justin LeDuc on drums, and Chris LoRang on saxophone. After picking up trumpet player Brett Messenger and vocalist Kathy Ruestow late in 2005, the band started getting strong recognition in Iowa City. Summer Camp Festival is getting closer, and we 'll be kicking it off a week early with two pre-parties this weekend at Mad Maggie's in Elgin IL and the Redstone Room in Davenport IA. Each show will feature two sets of FGC as well as ticket giveaways for the festival!
