........ .. "Finally Atlanta is coming up with good new FUNK again...Newberry Jam is a boom box of break beats in human form..." (Adam Bomb, Atlanta Radio). Newberry Jam is Atlanta's killin'-est funk ensemble, cooking up a blend of soulful root-down grooves, horn lines that will set your ass on fire, and tasteful improvisation. NBJ planted their roots firmly with innumerable shows at Atlanta's favorite venue/art gallery The Five Spot. They continue to headline the infamous hip hop party known as The Breaks, now known throughout ATL for featuring the best in street art, break dancing and true-school music acts. Newberry Jam has shared the stage with Ike Stubblefield, Jeff Sipe, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Circus, Clan Destined, Lee Harvey Oswald, The Bridge, Dubconscious, Yonrico Scott and many others. May 2008 marked their return as performers at the North Georgia-based festival RootsFest and they continue to play new cities and venues. Their full-length release is scheduled to drop in 2010. ..BOOKING: Alison Varner (404)483-0154.. ...... ..Myspace Editor.... ..Pimp MySpace.. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
