About me:

Cornelius Wilson Was born March 9, 1987 in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up he admired shows like Family Matters, Martin, Wayans Bros, and Mad TV. He believes his personality and sense of imagination came from such talent actors that impacted his childhood. Getting his first job at 14yrs old, he decided to save money and begin his acting career. After so many classes and auditions, in 2004 he graduated from High School in the 11th grade just as he had promised his mother, Valerie Wilson, and begin his adult life at 17 while traveling to Nashville to study Theatre at Tennessee State University. While in college, Cornelius found love for writing in which he used to produce a story about his life. Now, taking his career more serious than ever, he began to land auditions and have encounters with important people: John Singleton, Taraji P. Henson, and Tasha Smith who are all a great reason for his success. Mr. Singleton 1st told Cornelius if there was anything he should do in this business along with act, is to learn screenwriting. Taraji told Cornelius, "the road was not easy for me. I had to sell candles in order to support myself and my child when moving to California." Tasha caught Cornelius off guard on the set of "ATL" while he was crying about being tired of working as an extra, and told him to straighten up right now and go be the best extra he can be. Cornelius soon relocated to Los Angeles, CA to work hard at getting his Oscar. One of the first things Cornelius did when arriving to California was hire a professional acting coach, the industries well respected Aaron Speiser. While studying Cinema Television at Cal State Univ. Northridge, he began to take his own film into pre-production. He took a story about his life and created a feature film screenplay just as Mr. Singleton had mentioned to him earlier in his career. Cornelius' first feature is entitled, "Family Feud"...which is a family drama surrounding an African American family in the 1980s watching them grow to this present day and time. Dealing with the struggle of a naive single mother raising her three Cane and Able like boy's and a grandmother's help which their mom rejects.
