SEEKING ARTISTS for 2010 BARNFUL OF BLUES FESTIVAL
Blues, R'n'B, Blues Rock, Jazz, Funk artists only.
We are currently seeking artists to perform one set (40 minutes max) at our annual Barnful of Blues festival. As this event is a charity fund raiser, we DO NOT pay $$$. We can offer you tickets to sell (and keep the proceeds from those sales), a booth to sell and promote your cd's, swag, etc, one (1) year free membership in the Granite State Blues Society, and losts of great exposure... plus the awesome feeling of helping raise $$$ for children's charities.

The Granite State Blues Society is our new name! It is the logical next step in the evolution of the New Boston Blues Association (our former name). The Granite State Blues Society is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization whose mission is to raise money for local children’s charities, to preserve and promote Blues music, it's history, support Blues education and ensure the future of this uniquely American art form. A Board of Directors governs the Granite State Blues Society. General membership is open to all those interested in supporting and promoting our mission. Funding for the Granite State Blues Society comes from membership dues, private donations, corporate sponsorships, merchandise and ticket sales from our annual fund raising event - the Barnful of Blues festival.
Our History

The New Bos ton Blues Association was founded in 2002 by Barry Smith in New Boston, NH. Barry was the victim of an automobile accident when he was
a child and sustained injuries that served as a lifetime reminder of
the special needs of children. As a fan of blues music, Barry made friends with local musicians and found that many of them shared his concern
for helping others. A number of great blues musicians, including the late, great KD Bell, Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson, & Shirley Lewis have responded with heartfelt generosity. Countless other talented musicians have shared their time, energy and talents, both on and off the stage, enabling the NBBA to grow.

I just had to comment on the Festival on August 1st. As with every year for the past 7 years, each and every one of the many performers were top notch. Everything about the Barnful of Blues Festival is what live entertainment should be. Thank you for another memorable experience! See you again next year.

Hi from Indianola, MS, home of BB King and the new $16M BB King Blues Museum! BB King Homecoming is Friday, June 5th and it's going to be a very special one. BB has recently purchased the famous Club Ebony (where Keb Mo' showed up for the Sunday Evening Jam last week!) and will be playing there after his Concert in the Park. It is incredible to see the King of the Blues work at such close range.
