NEW BREED FIGHTERS XXVI at RESORTS
Saturday night marked one of the most dramatic and intense nights of mma action ever seen at the Jersey shore. So much so that we recommend humming the Battle Hymn of the Republic as you read on.
It was a very unique and special evening in the legendary Superstar Theater beginning with a tribute to the celebration of the life of a great friend to New Breed Fighters and so very many others. Richard Donald Mancini (1936-2009) was a man who proudly served his country, his friends and most importantly his family. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
REST IN PEACE MR. MANCINI...
It was obvious from the first fight that each and every warrior who participated in this historic event came to show their respects by reflecting the heart and never say die spirit that was evident in every phase of Mr. Mancini's life. They all had an Angel of inspiration penetrate their hearts this given day.
Resorts Superstar Theater has a history for having some of the greatest fights the region has ever witnessed. Saturday night took a back seat to none of them. It was not only a tribute to the life of a great American but the celebration of a remarkable sport.
Due to the fact the fans hung in that hallowed hall all night gasping in delight at the passion conveyed in our cage. We will represent this show in a different style.
31 committed souls entered into the cage determined to live up to the saying, "2 men enter and 1 man leaves" It was as if Mr. Mancini's grit had entered into the being of each and every fighter who participated this special night. It was inspiring to every individual who was fortunate enough to be in the sold out theater.
So much so that we want to honor and thank all who made this one of the greatest nights in NBF history.
