Newcity Entertainment has been put together by a group of avid music supporters in the local scene who dedicate their time to promoting emerging bands from Brisbane/Gold Coast. Our aim is to team up with the best venues and music industry experts to work together as closely as possibly to help raise the awareness of what our city has to offer to the local and national music scene. We can partake in anything from band promotion, to event organisation and eventually will be looking at branching into management.
We are here as a platform to help you out, whether it is giving you heads up on a national band comp or pushing to get you onto a national support slot. Newcity is YOUR company, if we work together we will acomplish a lot more. The Valley Fiesta will be spectacular as everyone comes together at what has fast become the leading venue for alternative entertainment in the valley. The bands are the best in their field and the best thing is the event is free. Between and after bands, Brisbanes finest alternative DJs come together and will be playing indie, electro, rock, hip hop and alternative party tracks until dawn. Everyone will be at this party, an event not to be missed!! Catch The Kidney Thieves free show on Saturday 24 October.
We will be joining the mighty Eloquence and Truths this time around at the Irish with our good friend DJ Ramrod spinning records all night. Eloquence and Truths have had a meteoric rise through the ranks having played and toured with the likes of Funkoars, Drapht, Muph n Plutonic and more, they are set to rock the spot in a major way. Also joining the bill for the night will be Brisbane emcee Tenduckets and Joey Cincere. Tenduckets aka Tendancee has built a name for himself rapping with powerhouse Brisbane hip hop crew Pure Product. His solo set is sure to get heads nodding and bodies bouncing. Do not miss it. The Lowdown are set to bring the house down at The Joynt once again Friday September 4. This a free entry event and judging from the last couple of shows TLD have done there you best arrive early and in the mood to groove. Music will kick off at 9 with Nicole Mcintyre doing a mellow set of acoustic tunes to ease you into the night. The Lowdown will take the stage around 10 and will be playing an extended set encompassing some new material, freestyles and improvised jams.
