New Dieabolic was formed in May of 2007 as the brainchild of front man Stephen Patterson (Culture of Silence) and drummer Jon Vinson (Undertow, Culture of Silence), who were joined shortly after by bassist Justin Laster. An official lineup was quickly established in June of 2007 with the addition of Brandon Desserich on rhythm guitar. The Cookeville, TN quartet quickly became known for their hyper-energetic stage show and their unconventional blending of various musical genres, elaborate audio samples, haunting melodies, and pounding riffs into their own form of heavy rock/metal music.
Within 6 months of the band's formation, New Dieabolic began playing shows regularly, sharing the stage with such bands as Adema, Hells Bells, and Disarray, as well as releasing a self-produced 3 song demo cd which soldin 4 stores in the area. Songs on the demo achieved regular play on B-Rock 93.7's B-Rock Underground show and was also played on WTTU 88.5, the Tennessee Tech. University campus radio station. In March of 2008, New Dieabolic entered the Cookeville/931 Area Battle of the Bands, placing in every category that they competed in and winning first place overall in the competition.
New Dieabolic recently began recording their debut album in October of 2008 at the Sound Lair in Knoxville, TN. After a few lineup changes, New Dieabolic has grown to a 5 piece, recruiting Larry Presley on samples, lights, and additional percussion.
