GLEN CRAIN (glen@newdixiestorm.com) contributes a sound that gives this band a completely new and refreshing feel. He is one of the finest resophonic "DOBRO" guitar players from this area. His soulful solos and tasteful back-up reflects his desire to make great music.
SCOTT HAWKINS (scott@newdixiestorm.com) provides the band with the hard-driving, Scruggs-influenced banjo style that defines any bluegrass band. His high lead and tenor vocals are extremely clean and accurate and his knowledge of the five-string fingerboard is very impressive.
JEFF HAYES (jeff@newdixiestorm.com) assumes the bass playing responsibilities for the band providing them with a clean, smooth line that sets the timing without disrupting the balance of the sound. His lead and harmony vocals display a wide range that helps this band achieve their unique sound.
JEREMY McCOLLUM (jeremy@newdixiestorm.com) compliments this aggregation with his rock-solid rhythm guitar. His dynamic and tasteful picking style is a welcome contribution to this band.
TREY WARD (trey@newdixiestorm.com) supports the rhythm section with his innovative mandolin playing. His unique style of chops and solos compliments the full sound of the band. He is also a talented song writer and his vocal skills have helped to expand the band’s repertoire.

Born in the foothills and mountains of the North West corner of South Carolina in 1999, the New Dixie Storm can be heard most weekends somewhere in South Carolina or in the surronding states of Georgia and North Carolina.
Although steeped in the tradional sounds of Flat and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin and Bill Monroe, New Dixie Storm represents all that is fresh and new on the contemporary bluegrass scene today.
New Dixie Storm grew out of the original "Dixie Storm" formed on Rabon Creek in Laurens SC, in 1997. After two years, the original group was scraped and the present day group was formed.
The band is comprised of 5 energetic musicians from the up-state of South Carolina. The band released it's first CD in 2005 "Storm Warning", and can be regularly seen on SC ETV's Bluegrass Express Television Program.
In 2006, New Dixie Storm was named SC State Bluegrass Band Champions by Renofest Bluegrass Festival.
The New Dixie Storm is widely known for it's song writing talents as well as its live performances. Tunes penned by Glenn Pace, the groups original guitar player until 2005, can be found on Dwight McCall's (JD Crowe & The New South) solo project,"Perfect After All", and Mountain Hearts Force of Nature "Twister". More rescently Trey Ward (myspace.com/treywardmusic), the groups mandolin player, will have his original "Truman's Vision"used in the PBS doucumentary "Like Heavan on Earth", A Film about the Savannah River Plant and America's entrance into the Cold War in the 1950s. "Truman's Vision" will also appear on the new CD project of Grammy Award winning artist Randy Kohrs, to be released in 2008. (myspace.com/randykohrs)
