We are Jeni, Lesley, Lorna & Claire and we are a female four part harmony acapella quartet!
We have been singing together in this line up for almost 8 years and we competed in various competitions both at home and overseas.
We even auditioned in front of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne & Louis Walsh for the tv show "The X Factor".
We all share a general love for all kinds of music & singing. Lesley & Lorna are sisters and Jeni is their lifelong friend. Claire has been a part of the extended family for over ten years now. We have great fun both singing and socialising!
We are lucky enough to have been coached by some great people and great friends over the years, including Roy Dawson (composer of "Barbershop Song") and more recently John Grant, Neil Firth and European Silver Medallist Quartet & frequent UK Champions Eu4ia.
We all also belong to a chorus called "Heartbeat", a group of over 40 ladies who know how to work hard and play harder!!! Heartbeat have sung all over the UK and Europe, recently claiming bronze medals at the Euopean Championships in Hollaand, Bronze in the Sweet Adelines Region 31 contest in Gateshead 2009 and also gold medals in the midsize chorus section.
As a quartet we have recently competed in our third Sweet Adelines competition where we were delighted to be awarded the gold medals out of 33 quartets. It was the best weekend ever!!! Sweet Ads rocks!!! We can't wait to represent the UK at the International Convention in Nashville in October 2009.
We are rapidly fundraising and hoping to produce a CD. If you are interested in booking us for an upcoming event or would like more information, please contact Claire on angel-of-music@hotmail.co.uk.
You have surely heard about the tragic death of a brave young woman who was murdered in Iran just for peacefully protesting with her father on the streets of Teheran.
Hiya! Thank you for adding us. We just had to form a quartet after watching the Regional contest in May, we'll hopefully be on that stage next year. Loved you guys this year and we'll hopefully see you all soon
Hi girls - thought you were amazing in Birmingham, you really set the standard for the quartet competition. Thanks for offering your help for our quartet - Steph told me about your lovely advice, it is very much appreciated
ello guys!
Just wondering how the weekend was! I wasn't able to get there in the end which was a real shame, but hope you had a great time! Will you be coming to the workshop in Nov, and Labbs conventions?
Claire x
