About me:

Can we be honest? Rodgers and Hammerstein are DEAD, for god's sake! Their last show was 50 years ago and it wasn't even very good! Can we please move on...?

New Line Theatre, "the Bad Boy of Musical Theatre," was created in 1991 to involve the people of the St. Louis region in the creation and exploration of outrageous, aggressive, provocative, alternative works of musical theatre – daring, muscular, adult theatre about sexuality, race, politics, art, obscenity, religion, violence, drugs, the media, and other contemporary issues.

And a lot of four-letter words. And every now and then, a little nudity. And lots of rock and roll. And did we mention the four-letter words?

These are not your grandparents' musicals. New Line produces concept musicals like The Rocky Horror Show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, She's Hideous, Urinetown, Return to the Forbidden Planet, and Johnny Appleweed; amazing, lesser known Broadway and off Broadway shows like Bat Boy, High Fidelity, Reefer Madness, A New Brain, Passion, The Robber Bridegroom and The Nervous Set; abstract musicals like Hair, Assassins, Chicago, Cabaret, Jacques Brel, and Songs for a New World; and lots more.

Who I'd like to meet:

Bat Boy, Sweeney Todd, Hedwig, Frank N. Furter, and Johnny Appleweed.

I don't think the quiz is as complex as we need it to be. Maybe we can design a new one that will more accurately grasp the many different personalites with better musicals. At least you didn't get Cats. I think that may be a choice.

Oh My Goddess! New Line Theatre did an AMAZING JOB with HAIR!!! My husband and I saw it last Friday night. The only question I have is how do they do it every night? The production, acting and execution were phenomenal. I recommend it highly to anyone! Thank you.
