About New Manic Spree
New Manic Spree is a four-piece alternative rock group from Brisbane, Australia. With influences ranging from The Mars Volta to Goose to Radiohead, NMS’s unique melodic journey encompasses exhilarating energetic highs, driving grooves and dreamy flows of audible ambience.
With over 35 collective years playing live in various bands, New Manic Spree presents a super-tight, energetic stage show. Abstract yet memorable guitar riffs, groove-driving bass and drum adventures and purposeful, meaningful yet catchy vocals all contribute to the imminent rise of NMS as a force in the future of contemporary music. Whilst continuing to write songs for their debut album, NMS has performed a number of live shows in venues throughout South East Queensland that have created positive hype and interest in the band.
NMS are currently recording an EP due for completion in January 2010 and are in the process of organising shows up and down the East coast and regional areas of Australia.
