About me:
New Menu is a directory of Greens running for office. It is also a source for free web site, email, blog, online calendar, town hall, and guest book for any Green candidate. New Menu

Visit the web site and show some support for our candidates. Sign their guest book, read their blog, ask a question. Take a moment and let them know they are appreciated. New Menu comes from the idea that as citizens in a democracy, we should not be like people visiting a restaurant, coming in periodically and choosing from a list of options. We should should be in the kitchen, with our sleeves rolled up, coming up with new ideas that will benefit us collectively. We need to create a new menu of services we need from our government, not accept the choices our government is offering us.

Candidates who listed with the US Green Party as Greens, from local to national office, may have a free web site through this page. Included is an email address, a blog, and other features that will be added later. Green campaigns that already have a web site, may still be listed in our directory with a link to their official election site. Greens may choose from one or all three of our current offered services. Green candidates with little or no campaign budgets can still have their qualifications, issues, and contact information available online.

We just added new features. There is a visitor counter for each candidate and an optional guest book. This is in addition to the customizable banner links that we recently began offering. You can also request your own FTP account and folder to have your own customized web page. Free templates are available from the Green Party.

Mass communication should be the masses broadcasting the message, not receiving it. This is especially true in politics. A New Menu is run by Greens for Greens.

If you are a Green running for office, request a friendship and I will add you to my top list (it could be just the edge you need to win the election).

I've never heard "Fact Check" use the word "deceit" but this week, they called John McCain's ad about Obama's tax proposal a "pattern of deceit".

Recently the host of Just the Facts said this of the Republican's accusation that Democrats will raise taxes, "Republicans drag this out every election cycle" (with a roll of the eyes).

Support Pennsylvania's medical marijuana bill

Can you believe that Pennsylvania treats patients with cancer and other serious illnesses as criminals if they relieve their suffering with the medical use of marijuana?

This year we could finally change that. Rep. Mark Cohen (D-Philadelphia) has introduced HB 1393, which will protect seriously ill Pennsylvania residents from arrest and prosecution for using medical marijuana with their doctors'
recommendations.

Please contact your state representatives now and urge them to co-sponsor and support HB 1393. http://control.mpp.org/site/MessageViewer?em_id=33401.0&dlv_id=26341

Media organizations across the state have covered the introduction. You can help keep the bill in the news by sending a letter to the editor of your local paper now.

If you are a medical professional or a patient who might benefit from medical marijuana, or if you know somebody who might benefit from medical marijuana, we would like to hear from you. Additionally, if you are a law enforcement official or a clergy member, please e-mail state@mpp.org to learn
how you can be of special help.

Please forward this message to your friends, relatives, and e-mail lists so they can take action to support medical marijuana patients in Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,

Zane Hurst

2 bills to censor/kill the internet have been introduced and We the People NEED to contact the Senate committee members to kill these bills dead. The government wants to censor our 1st amendment rights of freedom of speech and freedom of the Press. Write your state senator(s) NOT to pass S.773 Cybersecurity Act of 2009 and NOT to pass S.
778 To establish, within the Executive Office of the President, the Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor
You can view the bills here:
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-s773/show
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:S.778
These bills will mandate the government control of the internet and establishes a separate department in the government to ensure totally control/censuring of our free access to the alternative press/media and our free speech.

Don’t let Big Brother take our tax money AND our internet!!

Is your state or others you know listed below?
AK,AR, AZ,(has 2) CA, CT, DE, FL (has 2 )GA, HI,(has 2), IL, KS, LA(has 2), MA, ME(has 2),MI, MN, MO( has 2), MS, MT, NE{has 2}, N.D, NJ, NV,OH, OK , S.C., S.D., TX, VA ,WA state, W.V.

If your senator is on this committee and contact them today

put_a_lid_on_it ..... = solar parking lots

Personally, I hate parking lots --- but we have so many of them! Sitting there, doing nothing but heating up the atmosphere, so solar parking lots! Community-sustained, secure, renewable electricity! Bonus = community jobs! All over America! So I’m back at university learning GIS to analyze each town’s paved parking areas (Greensboro NC (pop 247,000) has 10.27 square miles of it that will power over 500,000 homes (every year) if covered with photovoltaics!) and I’m starting put_a_lid_on_it …………..……….

Stay tuned!

wish you a time full of tranquility.

(padmasana, 2008, http://www. redbubble. com/people/karmym/)
take the time to try a meditation. you have nothing other to do - just sit and breath, sit and breath, sit and breath. close your eyes, sit and breath and so on :-) take your time and experience the concentration you need just for sitting and breathing and dont go after a thought. stop thinking - just notice your breath. this concentration is the first step for meditation.

Nice to hear from you. I invite your participation in our website http://reckonthat. org This website is devoted to casting a beacon on how our elected representatives vote and the financial interests to which they are beholden.
There is a a wealth of current political information on legislation, legislators, special interest groups and state legislation. There is also a discussion forum.
We are a "focused" grassroots movement that will be as successful as those that participate, let their "elected representatives" know that they are being watched and share their experiences with others on this site.
Political interest groups are encouraged to participate. Volunteers are welcome (info@reckonthat.org). This site does not endorse any political party, legislators or legislation. We are not associated with any outside interests.
