About me: About me ?
Well... On a business level...
I am deeply involved in the nail care end of the beauty industry. Truth is...I fell into this arena by divine appointment.
Most people think I LOVE what I do...nails...truth is, I don't LOVE it, I do like it, but I don't LOVE it.
What I do LOVE is...being able to help.
I LOVE when a client comes to me hoping they can have the product I use on their nails because they are allergic to everything else...imagine how rewarding it is to be able to make someone feel better over something as simple as having their nails done again...and witout causing them to experience allergic reaction to what I have put on their nails ! This is the kind of thing that ROCKS my world !
This said...the real reason I stay in the nail care end of the beauty industy is because in 1997...my entire world came crashing down around me.
Everything as I had known it was gone...had changed...I was broken hearted, broken in spirit...broken completely.
I went to church one Wednesday evening...Pastor Terry Townsend from Peoples Church was talking about how God has a plan and a purpose for all of us.
Suffice it to say...I wanted very much to know what my purpose was...is...so...upon the invitation of Pastor Townsend to stand up and let the church pray for those who wanted to know what God's purpose was for them...I stood...I told God I would do whatever HE wanted me to do...if HE would just make things better...
I was approached by three people. The first was Pastor G.L. Johnson,what a wonderful man of God he is ! He stood to my left and two elderly women stood,one behind me and one to my right. Pastor Townsend prayed...when all was said and done, the woman to my right said she needed to share something with me that God had shown her ...she said God had shown her a vision of a puzzle and that she was to tell me the puzzle represented my life...
She said the outside frame of the puzzle was complete and that God would now begin to place the pieces of the puzzle where they were to go.
I was pretty certain I would be "called" to teach a sunday school class for the children because I have a deep love and compassion for the little ones...Well...I have NEVER taught a sunday school class but have instead been placed into the middle of the multi billion dollar a year nail care industry...for the purpose of exposing the hidden dangers found in this industry and to share with others more safe and non toxic ways to do nails and to have their nails done.
People have died, people have been infected, people have been over exposed to acrylic nail chemicals, babies have not made it to this planet...is this ok? Ya...I don't think so.
This said...I have recently found out that my involvement in the nail care industry was just a "proving ground " for what God really has in store for me.
I have been blessed with many amazing "ideas" that I will be introducing to the public very soon.
