Hakkımda: The Newport Diving Center is a PADI 5 Star IDC Store. In the past 4 years that Lynette and Tom have owned The Newport Diving Center they have increase the stores reputation as a store that actually cares about all scuba divers weather it be a Man or Woman, even the kids that scuba dive. They are well known for NOT trying to rip you off, you can just come in and sit, relax and chat if you want, they have chairs set out just for that reason, there is NO pressure selling. They feel if you want something you will buy it when you are ready. They also have a great bunch of employees, that are all certified scuba divers and dive there you know what off, they are ready to help you with any questions you may have. North Shore Frogmen's Club host Navy SEAL Presentation
December 11th, U.S. Navy SEAL Presentation: By Navy SEAL Master Chief/Master SEAL Mr. William Atkinson. Bill and his staff will give us an in-depth look at the history and evolution of this elite military diving team, from the early days of the UDT's in World War 2 to present day opperations in the middle east. This multi media presentation will cover everything from the selection process and requirements, training, tactics, and focus on the SEALS specialized diving equipment used to conduct global combat and humanitarian protection missions. There will also be a truck from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team on on site with a full equipment display.
Please join us for what promises to be an exciting and educational evening dedicated to those brave Americans who risk their lives to protect our great country.
12/11/2008 Presentation starts at 8 PM in the 2nd floor function hall at The Beverly Golf and Tennis Club, social hour/meet the speakers starts at 6:30-7 PM, there is a fine Italian Restaraunt and pub on site with a fantastic menu, come early for dinner and make an evening out of it.

The North Shore Frogmen's Club Presents: DEEP WRECK EXPLORATION and DISCOVERY using Side Scan Sonar with Garry Kozak Thursday, November 13th, 2008 Garry has worked for L-3/Klein Associates for 27 years, traveling the world as a recognized expert in side-scan-sonar operation and its varied applications. He has trained more than 20 navies in side-scan, countless law enforcement agencies, as well as performed many search and survey operations around the globe. He started in the 70's as a commercial diver with a particular love for shipwrecks. His unique take on what this technology is capable of is confirmed by his extensive diving experience tied closely to side-scan-sonar. You will see some amazing images in his presentation coupled with very interesting background information and stories.
Discover technical advances in Side Scan Sonar. This will be a fascinating multimedia presentation on its uses in hunting for deep shipwrecks as well as marine salvage operations.

The North Shore Frogmen's Club Presents: Diving Truk Lagoonwith Michael Prange and Dick Brady Thursday, October 30th, 2008
On 17 February 1944 the US Navy launched a massive attack against the Imperial Japanese Navy located on Truk atoll currently in the Federated States of Micronesia. On 19 January 2008 Michael Prange (NEADC/BSCD) and Dick Brady (NEADC/NSFC) joined a group of divers on a ten-day land-based trip to Truk to dive and photograph the many wrecks littering the bottom of Truk Lagoon. Each day they dove four wrecks, rarely diving the same wreck twice. In this presentation Dick and Michael will share photos of their adventure and tell a bit of the history of these wrecks.
