New Risen is a singer and songwriter native from the Brittany coast of France, land of fairy and eerie tales...
Former model in the 90's, New Risen took part of the french coldwave scene as lead vocal of various bands.
In 2001, helped by his synthesizers and his dummy assistant 'Lord Konig' (!), New Risen starts writing songs for his solo musical project under the artist name of 'New Risen', a tribute to his favourite 80's band Eyeless in Gaza and also to celebrate his solitary musical rebirth...
New Risen soon created his own musical style out of his influences made of dark romantic et poetic lyrics with synthpop darkwave and gothic atmospheres.
The same year, he recorded two songs (Fire Devotion and Blood Party) for the 'Microcosmique' compilation.
Year 2007, New Risen entered in studio with Mrlamort from the post-rock gothic band Nova et Vetera, to record the songs for his 'Dark Winter' album.
November 2007, came at last 'Dark Winter', his great debut album after a long musical history.
NEW RISEN - Biographie
New Risen est un chanteur auteur-compositeur originaire de l'Ouest de la France, région riche en contes et histoires étranges...
Au cours des années 90, New Risen entame une carrière de mannequin professionnel, et devient le chanteur de groupes de coldwave.
Début 2001, aidé de ses synthétiseurs et de son mannequin 'Lord Konig' (!), New Risen démarre son projet solo sous son nom d'artiste en hommage au groupe de Martyn Bates et Peter Becker 'Eyeless in Gaza' qu'il rencontrera plus tard à l'occasion de leur 25ème anniversaire de carrière.
New Risen a su développer son propre univers musical fait de textes poétiques et romantiques sur des ambiances synthpop-gothique et darkwave.
Après avoir enregistré quelques titres sur des compilations, New Risen entre en studio en 2007 avec Mrlamort du groupe post-rock gothic Nova et Vetera pour enregistrer les titres de 'Dark Winter'.
Novembre 2007 sort enfin 'Dark Winter', le premier album de New Risen après une longue carrière dans la musique !

Salut Fabrice, I guess it was a strange dream and maybe my love to songs like pale shelter or Everybody wants to rule the world are the reason for it (string theory), but maybe there is another / an additional reason.. I gave a french name to a new song and thought of you while doing it (string theory again). I don't know if this Song will be an AC or MC song, but I got this "Heureka" feeling with it - felt a million times before and maybe this time it is real...
