Recording studios, weird bits of studio hardware, making a racket, music, quirky guitars, strange chords, interesting lyrics, loud drummers, bass-amps bigger than bassists, odd shaped microphones, full boost at all frequencies, dusty keyboards, anything American with an "X" in it, record companies who like music, Leslie cabinets, saying "marvellous darts", tambourines, crossed pairs, artificial heads, backwards stuff, compressors, equalisers, too much reverb, no reverb at all, good acoustics, sub bass, odd time signatures, vinyl, analogue, digital, any combinations thereof, having a laugh, being intense, working fast, taking ages, thousands of cups of tea, oh and cricket, curries, unintelligible physics and world politics!

About me: I'm a Recording Engineer/Producer with over 25 years of experience. I've worked with such artists as REM, Sinead O'Connor, 10,000 Maniacs, The Sisters of Mercy, Bad Company and the Fall.
I'm currently starting a new venture, "New River Recordings" whereby bands can book me and my equipment to record them at a venue of there own choice, such as a rehearsal studio, church hall, or rich aunties house in the country! I have my own Protools rig at home to finish and mix the project but I'm very into making recording an "event" again.

Sick of wasting 200 quid at Glastonbury to wade about in muck on bad drugs watching Sting with a bunch of hippies?
There is an alternative.
And it's better than suicide.
You would be silly not to take it.
It is Club Hell.
It's The Party At The End Of The Line.
HEAT FROM A DEADSTAR
"Spooky guitars morph into the sound of crying monsters, and twisty time signatures barrage their way through brick walls...brings to mind My Bloody Valentine or the ethereality of early Mogwai. Currently holed up in Steve Albini’s studio in Chicago, HFADS are potentially stratospheric."
God Is In The TV
"Deadstar is a repository for all the emotions we don't know how to put into words... "

THE SUICIDAL BIRDS
PONY PACK
Two explosive Dutch girl bands. They are not like The Spice Girls. They are very angry about something. They could have easily taken out Courtney Love back in the day.
If you missed early Hole/The Breeders/Veruca Salt/the Riot Grrrl thing the first time 'round, see this. Or find 'em in Holland; last London show.
MARCIA MELLO A busking girl and her guitar playing ragtime pre-war blues from Provincetown, Massachusetts. Covers of people like Memphis Minnie, Blind Blake and Blind Lemon Jefferson...

We’ve been asked to kick off Club Deviant’s first night on 30th Jan at The Purple Turtle in Camden. The name alone suggests that it should be a cool night and again, we’re asking for your support…a fiver to be exact – and for that you get to see 3 bands and entry to the club afterwards which is pretty damn good don’t you think?!
Anyway, please click on either of the links below Thank you so much (in advance) for your support…we really appreciate it!
Alternatively, please click on the flyer if you don’t have a paypal account and want to save some cash!
Hi Tony, nice to find your profile & really expansive tastes. I like the broad spectrum of artists you worked with. The broader the mind, the more is experienced. My very best wishes to you.
Just a quick note to ask you to come to our gig on 19th October at The Underworld in Camden. We hope you’re free and can make it because we’d welcome your support! Please click on the flyer below for a link to our site to buy a ticket (and you’ll save about 4 quid!)…
…and for doing so, clicking on the link below will open a new window for you to download the She EP for free…a way of saying thanks!
..
We’re playing new material including RIP (our version of Gary Numan’s song from his Pure cd) so it should be a really cool night!
