Three families and about 50 of our friends decided in late 1999 that we wanted to create a business that we could be proud of - a company that had a true commitment to its community, to promoting sustainable agriculture and to maintaining a progressive workplace.
We decided to buy from people who we knew. Local farmers, ranchers, creamery co-ops, fishers and crabbers who are real Oregonians, small artisan cheese makers, vintners and brewers and coffee roasters from Oregon and Washington, Portland artists who handcraft soaps, candles, pottery and greeting cards.
Then we added familiar products like Bumblebee Tuna and Best Foods Mayo that some of us couldn't live without.
The result of all this is New Seasons Market. Easy & fun to shop. Locally owned & operated.
