Robert Quarry, a prolific actor best known for playing iconic B-movie vampires
like the charming Count Yorga and the sinister Khorda during the 1970s,
died Feb.
20 at the Motion Picture and Television Fund Hospital in California,
a hospital spokesperson said. He was 83.

The beloved actor had been in declining health in recent years
after suffering from heart trouble.

My old friend King Gully was the first Rasta surfer on the wild North Shore of Barbados. This song is based on his true story. It's been described as a cross between "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Puff The Magic Dragon". :>) And there's ukulele under all those dang gitarz! I think you'll like it, as well as the shots of great surfing and amazing waves, all from Barbados!

Actor James Whitmore Dies of Lung Cancer

James Whitmore, the many-faceted character actor who delivered strong performances in movies, television and especially the theater with his popular one-man shows about Harry Truman, Will Rogers and Theodore Roosevelt, died Friday, his son said. He was 87. Moviefans will recognize him instantly as Brooks, a reformed criminal who can't handle the pressures of the world outside prison in 'The Shawshank Redemption.
