Based in Los Angeles, New West, featuring Perry Smith, John Storie and Brady Cohan, has gained recognition as one of today's premier guitar ensembles. Their original music combines the foundation of jazz with elements of blues, rock and folk.
The group was originally formed as a quartet when they were each music students at the University of Southern California. During their time at USC, the Los Angeles Sister Cities Committee established New West as musical representatives for the City of LA. This honor gave them the chance to perform at the 2005 World Expo in Japan and the 2007 German-American Volksfest in Germany.
Continuing their group as a trio, New West travels all over the world giving concerts and clinics. Their performances and recordings has received critical acclaim and while still in their early 20s, New West looks forward to a bright future.

Hello!!! The tracks - definitely going to put them on the album! They're awesome. :) Peter said he started mixing them, but I haven't heard anything yet. The whole project was put on hold for a bit due to some circumstances... Currently, my friend Fletcher and I have been recording a massive acappella arrangement he wrote and as soon as that's finished, the jazz record will be complete!
