Incorporating both a healthy respect for their punk rock forefathers, and a flair for thrash metal, hardcore, and punk rock - New World On Fire has successfully crafted a combination of talented musicianship and sharp political analysis wise beyond their years.
Formed in the Spring of 2002, the band has played hundreds of shows touring both the west coast, and across the country multiple times. In the three years since their inception they have released one live EP (I Heard We Were Almost Alive KTRCD0001), and one full length album (Guided Missiles And Misguided Men KTRCD0004) they have also donated their music to numerous benefit compilation cd's (Power of Music, No Retreat No Surrender) and they've done it all completely independently. The band's first album "Guided Missiles and Misguided Men" (April 2004) released on their own record label, Kill the Resistor Records, was hailed as a wake up call to other artists to challenge the commodification of their own punk culture.
Armed with the new full length album the band embarked on a three week westcoast tour, highlighted by an appearance at the 15th Anniversary of the Under the Volcano Festival of Resistance in Vancouver, B.C In the summer of 2005 the band spend another three weeks touring in the west, before leaving on a month long headline spot on the Kill The Resistor Records Summer Tour.
New World On Fire's unrelenting work ethic coupled with an intense live show, and technical musical prowess has earned them the respect and admiration of fans and critics alike. The band plans to spend most of the winter at work in their new studio space, rehearsing new songs for an upcoming full length slated for release in the Spring of 2006.
