'New York Alcoholic Anxiety Attack are a three piece outfit from Bradford, Northeast, United Kingdom and might just be the next cult band to follow, frontman Mik Davis has your Rockstar image and vocal to go with it, the six track demo EP that they have released has some pretty exciting music of pure raw talent, with songs like "Guns and God" kicks in with your typical rock drumming floor tom to snare style and a mystical Mark Boland type of vocal this tune has got tons of potential with the right producer i think we got a winner here. "Sun Riders" this song has a got a grunge feel with punk styled vocals reminds me of early Nirvana very loose in parts but adds to the tunes character,this has to the rebirth of grunge...smashing tune and a cracking EP worth checking out, i feel this demo is a step to greater things for NYAAA'.

The Collection
Available for free via their Myspace site, this six-track demo collection is proof that NYAAA are continuing to get better with every release. More chilled out than their debut album, last year's ‘The Man WithFour Tears’, the decision to ease up on the intensity has actually done them wonders as the hypnotic ‘Guns And God’ and ‘Sunriders’ show a band getting more and more confident in their musical ability and not afraid to try a few new things. However, the riff on ‘Rainbows And Rust’ is almost Stooges-like in its ferocity and is evidence that they certainly haven't lost any of their bite. It goes without saying that this comes very highly recommended and the second album should be well worth the wait when it appears.
