Bio
Ocker have come a long way since the release of their debut album 1234LOVE in October 2003. On their new album Public Transport they put into action a mutual vision of a perfect synthesis merging electronic ideas with touching vocals and energetic guitars. On 1234LOVE their sound was dominated by Vocoder-vocals and Synthesizers alongside with Bass and Drums. During the last months natural vocals and electric guitars became just as important. While touring and playing concerts with bands such as The Kills, Mouse on Mars and Tiger Tunes, Ocker also got to know Berlin-based singer Toni Kater and became friends with her and her band. This friendship resulted in fruitful and excitingly new collaborations: Daniel Kinat formerly Tonis guitarrist became the new Ocker-member replacing Christian Thiel. Toni Kater herself represents the female voice on Take it Slow. The new Album Public Transport was produced in Hamburg during summer 2005 by Manfred Faust (producer of Tempeau, Zinoba and Ocker debut 1234LOVE) and Ockers own Christian Heimann and Till Huber. The twelve new tracks tell stories of journeys and detours, of direct connections and wide distances between dreams and reality. The album takes you to the countryside, to the disco and to the footballgame. Ocker literally rocks more than ever without neglecting glamour, space and disco. An exciting excursion between rock and lots of POP. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. -

Ocker is about movement and elegance. A harsh bass, a straight guitar, amazing drums and always packed with sweet synths. Ocker from Hamburg could bet he german answer to New Yorker Post-Punk. But this is different. More of New Order and Elastica and Tour de France. I dont know where this band is coming from all of the sudden but I am blown away. .. Hallo Ocker!!!
