-Mr. Met leads all active Major League mascots in high fours.
-Early in his career, Mr. Met lost his voice root, root, rooting for the home team. He may be quiet now, but can gesture in 12 different languages.
-Mr. Met's head is the only earthbound orb with its own gravitational pull, explaining why fans are so drawn to him.
-Mr. Met's image debuted in 1963 when it graced the covers of the official Mets yearbook and scorecard.
-In '64, Mr. Met earned rookie-of-the-year honors as Major League Baseball's first modern live-action mascot.
-Though Mr. Met has never been seen in the same place as Super Met, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that they are one and the same.
-On Opening Day 2000, Mr. Met became the first Major League mascot to entertain fans overseas as the Mets played their first regular season game in Japan's Tokyo Dome.
-The only current Major League player who stands as tall as Mr. Met is New York Yankees' pitcher Randy Johnson.

About me:
On the first spring morning of '63, with the dew still dampening Coogan's Bluff, Casey Stengel, the old skipper of the young Mets, saw a figure in the distance. Deep in the Polo Grounds' center field stood a fan like no other -- a fan clearly born to root for the New York Mets. Casey became so taken with the big guy, he invited him to join the Amazin's the very next year at their new park, Shea Stadium. Mr. Met was home. His baseball head began to swell with the win in '69 -- and grew even larger still in '73 and '86 and again during the Subway Series in '00. Today he joins Mets fans, both young and old, to cheer his favorite team, at every game, at the big blue ballpark in Flushing.

I still feel that ticker tape, a deep eight-six is still gone. I write to my blue & orange bed room, my distaste and Mr. Wilpon. My lips are bleeding, from all these pinstripe salutes. I bit my tongue so hard, drops fell on my timberland boots. I look for comfort in my MSG KNICKS, but next game = 1 - 6. For Mets fans October has become a sharade. As I watch "THEM" dance in another parade. I dont hate the player, but I am sick of this game. 69 miricle,Buckner and Endy, are only claims to fame. I remember 1986, I just started High school. I saw a Dynasty in the making, but heartbreaks be came a rule.
99' 00' 06 shot down in blazes without glory. I thought winning was Manuel, when we had X-stripes Randolph and Torre. I saw a BIG INNING, Rings I predicted "LOTS A" when we had Hampton and Mike Piazza I put Bacardi in my Lemonaide, but was stuck sucking Lemons. When Piazza didnt charge, that yank-sock Clemens. Hope was left ..I felt a tingle, But a Brave face was only Robin a grand slam single . The series of the Subway, was to some an excitement. But our inferior team, became our indictment.
I want a Wright celebration, and tell lady luck we bought her. I wanna see A-rods next and last ring, with Goldie Hawns daughter. I want broadway engulfed in orange and blue. I want to kiss a girl at Citifield I never knew. I wanna remember the 'DEEP EIGHT SIX" The day I saw ... I wanna Believe... like TUG McGraw

I send you this wish…
I wish you joy beyond compare,
success in all you do.
I wish your goals within your reach,
friendships true and strong.
I wish you gracious wisdom and forgiveness,
when you're wrong.
I wish you nights of wonderous rest.
I wish you strength and courage, and
persistence to be your best.
And most of all, I wish for you more love than most will find, the grandest love in all the world, the everlasting kind!
Wishing you blessings and love for you and your loved ones today and always!!!
