We are also proud to announce that we will have a special HD showcase at our festival! Not only will we feature HD films, but our festival is unique in that it provides the opportunity for filmmakers to present their work with cutting edge HD viewing technology.
Our submissions process is closed. We look forward to sharing with you our 40 selected short films along with 10 two minute shorts made by high school students from the Tracy area!

"Alfred Eaker's Jesus And Her Gospel Of Yes was definitely a trip. As in a journey. the non-stop bombardment of images and anti-rhetoric was liberating and exhausting simultaneously. It reminded me of Hobbs' Roseland (and other psychedelic Something Weird titles), the Sub-Genius film Arise!, Kenneth Anger, and the low-rent lunacy of Michael D Moore (the 'other' Michael Moore)... all fused into one jaw-dropping melange. craziness of the first order...and that is a recommendation". -Henry Covert, "Video Autopsy"
This beautiful movie, put together by Alfred Eaker, is a marvel of technology and art, but it's probably not for everyone. This movie is a hodge-podge of bizarre imagery and sounds. It's wonderfully put together and Mr. Eaker shows an amazing skill at layering images upon images to put together what can only be described as a video work of art. Dear Next Gen: I am so honored and flattered to have received the Best Actress award at the film festival. It was so unfortunate that I wasn't able to make it to Sacramento to watch the films and meet the wonderful Next Gen team. However, there is always next year. *:o) Thank you for your time and dedication.
