THE NEXT PHASE!!!
"It’s left to the The Next Phase to close proceedings and they offer the oddest and most interesting sound of the night. Bill Murray and co work around the funky bass lines and there are all sorts of influences and ideas found in a cross section of their sound. Bill’s got the sound of The Fall, The Doors and Ian Drury all shaken together, whilst the bass and guitar evokes a sense of jazziness that treads close to Talking Heads circa 1976 - and maybe even Level 42 on crack. The Next Phase are raw and young, but have a rucksack overflowing with ideas, that shouldn't take long to hone into something quite compelling. "
Manchester Music - Revolution Radio unsigned band showcase @ The Castle, Oldham 29/3/07
"The Next Phase fuse funky jazz with all out rock to produce a unique style all of their own" - The Oldham Chronicle 11/7/07
"The Next Phase were rough, raw, young and more Chuffed Tuesday than Happy Mondays but had the nucleus of something that given time could be polished into a rough diamond."
Geetans Review - Star And Garter, Manchester 29/11/06
"The Next Phase have no shame in declaring their influence through their music. It's baggy, it's psychedelic, it's fuck you I won't do what you tell me, ultimatley it's 'Madchester'!"
Stephanie Grimshaw - Manchester Bands
"With bulging bass lines that the Happy Monday’s would be proud of,
Oldham lads The Next Phase are setting the local scene on fire.
With a firm local following and some choice tunes, this lot are
worthy headliners!"
Oldham Chronicle Press Release - Revolution Radio unsigned band showcase
"The song was great; still a touch of The Happy Mondays in there but what the hell. Oasis had a touch of The Beatles, The Beatles had a touch of a lot of stuff; bands evolve and The Next Phase were grooving on the evolutionary ladder, banging two rhythmic rocks together to see if they could make fire and I liked them; if I hadn’t have been taught to dance by Douglas Bader I would have got up to groove myself."

Minghe Morte
Musicianship of the highest calibre which will blow your head clean off. With drums, fucked up sax and bass coming together for infectiously violating rock grooves, tender atmospheres and aggresive spasmodic climaxing. http://www.myspace.com/minghemorte
