Sounds Like
I don't think I sound like any one person, to say so would be limiting myself. I'm a Hip-Hop Melting Pot.
Ngajuana is probably the hardest working writer in Canadian hip-hop today.
In 2005 Nick Latella’s life would change forever as a musician. Enrolled in piano lessons from an early age, Nick learned quickly and progressed from grade to grade at an astonishing rate, one wonders where this might have taken him if he had followed through with it. Nevertheless, when Nick hit grade 3 the trouble began. Nick was a troubled kid, and he would spend the majority of the next 9 years locked up inside group homes, institutions and later on jail. Nick Always knew he wasn’t like the rest of the dudes in jail, he had ambition, hopes, dreams and talents. A promising basketball player in high-school, Nick’s troubles led to more jail time and the loss of 2 scholarship offers to division 1 schools in the States. After another stint in jail, Nick started to realize that if he didn’t do something soon, he would likely spend the rest of his life locked away. It was after this period that it was suggested to Nick (A talented freestyle rapper) that he actually attempt to write full-length songs and the rest is history. That brings us back to 2005. 2005 was an amazing year for nick, starting his rap career almost halfway through it, and still managing to bang out 45 decent songs. He and Friend Wes (Static The Mic Addict) Johnson formed the rap group Domino Effect and started about getting their voices heard. Nick adopted the acronym N.G.A.J.U.A.N.A. (No Good Asshole Just Using Alias Names Aimlessly) as his moniker, knowing it would cause both controversy and easy publicity, Nick went ahead with it, and Ngajuana was Born. Since 2005 Ngajuana has begun tearing hip-hop apart at the seams, in the hopes of rebuilding it in his image. With well over 160 tracks in two and a half years, he seems quite capable of achieving his goals….The only question now is…how long will it take? In 2006 N.G.A set a personal goal for writing 1 song a week guaranteed, or 52 tracks…in Early June ‘06, he passed that mark and went on to write 104 songs or TWO for every week of that year. Ngajuana’s Debut album “Shaving The Sheep”, is tentatively scheduled for release on June 2nd 2007, and promises to be the single most monumental thing to happen to Canadian Hip-Hop…EVER!
