With ingredients as studying maths, surfing, spinning, skateboarding, snowboarding, producing, running a label and booking agency, organizing events and travelling around the map of Europe’s musical horizon - it’s not easy to prepare a well balanced meal with multicultural decoration around…so that really means you have to know how the land lies if you want to succeed!
Introducing Nhan Solo – a skilled guy behind the scenes, decks, events and more – at the same time central character at the front of a creative business, he has to know how to balance his colourful everyday life.
Born in Vietnam, raised in Bavaria and for several years settled in Berlin Nhan Solo stroke roots in the middle of a multicultural melting pot of arts and music and started organizing “Playtime” as a row of events which bridge between hip-hop, electro and live shows with chummily artists as Mocky, Kiki, Karotte, Âme, Chris De Luca vs. Phon.O, Mr. Flash, Rafik, Kid Fresh, The Tape or Robosonic. The mixture of fresh downbeat and electronic drive proved successful and while presenting his musical cocktails at the hottest venues around Milan, Paris or London the idea of founding “We.Are.Playtime.” as an independent label became real.
“Bounce is back” – the first number of the catalogue already hits the crowds and not enough Nhan recently announced “We are Playtime” will act as booking agency for the likes of Acidkids, Daniel Dexter, Dibaba, Fukkk Offf, Lars Moston, Maral Salmassi, Play Paul, Robosonic, Zero Cash and more to be confirmed.
In his dj-sets he transforms his roots in hip-hop and funk and his buzz for minimal and electro into an explosive mix which again and again gets a truckload of dancefloors all over Europe so crowded, that Berlin's public transport during rush-hour is a joke in comparison.
His schedule is as crowded as his dancefloors and one would hardly believe in the fact that he spends several weeks at the hotspots of snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing addicts every year. No matter where - Nhan is a gentle and sympathetic character you will embosom once you have met him.

Znany wcześniej jako Break The Box. Po pierwszym swoim wydawnictwie - "Chapa" - w Second Session Rec. (południowa Afryka) zaczął współpracować z czołowymi fidget/jackingowymi labelami jak Cheap Thrills (Herve..), Idiot House (Acid Jacks) oraz Crux (Bryan Cox); dołączył również do rodziny CruxDaHouse. W lutym 2009 wydał oficjalny remix dla Redmana (Wu Tang Clan) w ramach projektu Rmx Ep promowanego przez Scion Audio Visual. Zagrał z między innymi z takimi djami i prducentami jak: Herve.., Bryan Cox, Bloody Beetroots, Acid Jacks, Foamo, Kelevra, Mustard Pimp, His Majesty Andre, Congorock, 3 Is a Crowd, Oh Snap!, Ninfa.
Stosunkowo niedawno podpisał kontrakt z wytwórnią DIM MAK, założoną w 1996 roku przez Stevea Aokiego. Należą do niej również tacy wixiarze jak The Bloody Beetroots , Shitdisco ,Felix Cartal , Weird Science, Whitey, Diplo, Motor czy S.P.A.

Alle Kunst und Designinteressierten und diejenigen die auch gern mitreden möchten, sollten sich diese Gelgenheit nicht entgehen lassen, denn die Studiengänge Kommunikationsdesign und Fotografie der Essener Folkwang-Hochschule zeigen 24 Diplomarbeiten. Zu sehen gibt es den aktuellsten Output aus den Bereichen Fotografie, Film, Illustration, Grafik, Editorial-Design, Interfacedesign und Performance, in dem jede Menge, Blut, Schweià und Tränen steckt.
Start der Präsentationen ist am Donnerstag den 02. Juli 2009! Verteilt auf zwei Essener Locations: Zum einen im Forum für Kunst & Architektur am Kopstadtplatz 12, zum anderen in den drei Foyers der Folkwang Hochschule, Klemensborn 39.
AnschlieÃende Feierei und exzessives Tanzgelage gibt es am Freitag ab 22:00 im ehemaligen Tabledance âThe Diamond Starâ!
Das elektronische Stelldichein wird es u.a mit dem Essener MARCUS SUR geben, der gerade seinen âMuskatnuss-Rmxâ auf der neuen Ep von BUTCH (Great Stuff, Trapez, AFU Limited), auf dem Kölner Traum Schaltplatten-Sublabel âTrapez Ltdâ released hat und im Sommer 2009 mit âDown with the Shipâ seinen ersten eigenen Track auf Trapez veröffentlicht!
