About me:

Since 1984, The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of New Hampshire Catholic Charities, has been committed to providing nutritionally balanced food for hungry people throughout New Hampshire. The Food Bank efficiently and effectively solicits, obtains and distributes donated and purchased foods to member agencies that provide this food to hungry people. The Food Bank strives to be responsive to the needs of its agencies, donors and volunteers.

In 2006, the NH Food Bank distributed over 4 million pounds of donated, surplus food to nearly 350 member agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers, senior citizen homes and substance abuse treatment centers. These agencies then provide the food to over 95,000 hungry men, women and children throughout New Hampshire.

In addition to the food distribution, the New Hampshire Food Bank offers several innovative programs to help meet the needs of hungry people in the state including our Mobile Food Pantry, Operation Frontline, Agency Workshops, and, new in 2007, the BackPack Program.
