NHS Ultimate

About me:

The first ever Northwood High School Ultimate Frisbee Club was started in the first semester of 06. The club chairs inlcude Hart Wallace Phillips, Matthew Russell, and Alex Hart. The teacher advisors are Mr. Thibault, Mr. Sheridan, and Mr. Little. Meetings will typically be held every Wed. in Mr. Thibault's room, and games will be played on Saturdays. The majority of play will be held on the soccer practice field at NHS, but the hope is to travel and play at other locations as well. This club is the product of a passion for the exhilirating game of Ultimate Frisbee. The game is fast paced, constantly exciting, and is said to be one of the best overall forms of exercise in the world. A true player will have no second thoughts on laying out and sacrificing their body for a catch. Blood can be wiped away and hopfully clotted. Our hope for this club's future is to practice and play continuously and form a well-rounded team. If enough people remain interested, a league within our school will be formed, and round robin tournaments will be played. Eventually, we would like to play against other teams within the conference, (including Cardinal Gibbons, NCSSM, Raleigh Charter, etc.) In order to do this we need COMMITMENT! This club is not about college applications or t-shirts. It is about playing and competing in the game of Ultimate Frisbee. We hope to keep it crunk (cause it STILL ain't dead), and to kick ass.
