About DJ Niche

I'm a Tokyo based DJ, producer, and promoter.

DJ Niche（DJ ニッチ）

2002年、渋谷オルガンバーにて実施されたBLUE NOTEレーベル主催イベントで、須永辰緒氏、敷島氏と共演。のちのイベント「モダンジャズ入門」のきっかけとなった。

2004年夏より須永氏、敷島氏と共に「モダンジャズ入門」をスタート。平日深夜3時にモダンジャズやハードバップ、アフロキューバンの旧譜をよどみないMIXでつなぐというイベントスタイルは話題になった。

そして2005年春より渋谷JZ Brat「Executive Jazz Lounge」にも参加。それが「夜ジャズ」となりCDリリースと連動したプロジェクトに発展。

2006年には「モダンジャズ入門」「夜ジャズ」に加え、代官山AIR「WORLD STANDARD」にも参加。2007年大晦日にはYEBISU 08 NEW YEAR PARTYに初出演も果たした。

現在は「夜ジャズ」「モダンジャス入門」「SPUNKY」を中心にDJ活動、さらに青木カレンの 2ndアルバム「Karen」、3rdアルバム「Shining」をサウンドプロデュースに関わる。 2008年春にはＤＪＮiche名義のREMIX曲もリリース。

またα-STATION（FM京都）で毎週火曜25:00～26:00「CLUB α」のパーソナリティを担当中。
