Bio:

Bassist Nicholas D'Amato is a veteran of the New York City music scene. As a sideman he has been the propulsion for tons of groups spanning all stylistic borders. Currently, Nicholas can been seen as bassist and Musical Director for Lizz Wright, on tour to promote her latest release, "The Orchard"(Verve). He's kept busy recording albums and tracks for some of NY's finest, as well as television jingles and film scores. From 2002-2006 he toured the world with contemporary blues heavyweight, Popa Chubby. In 2006 he formed Nicholas D'Amato's Royal Society and released "Nullius In Verba" (Buckyball), and it was a critical success. Work is underway on a follow-up record.
