Nicholas’ interest in music started when he was two years old and has since continued to be a major part of his life for the past twenty-two years. He grew up in a very musically influential home with a dance studio and piano that has yet to stop playing. As a child Nicholas would watch and listen as his mother taught dance lessons. Although he was in awe of his mother’s ability to teach, it was the beat of the music that kept Nicholas’ attention. At four years old, Nicholas received his first set of drums and immediately gravitated towards them. It was instinct for Nicholas.
Throughout high school, Nicholas continued to play the drums and support his mother’s dance school. In 2001, he left New Jersey and moved down to Myrtle Beach, SC where he was accepted in the music program at Coastal Carolina University. It was during his studies that he discovered a new love for the piano. He had always enjoyed the music his mother played, but never had a desire to learn the notes himself. Although the piano did not come as naturally as the drums, Nicholas practiced day and night and taught himself the notes he needed to pass. A year later and Nicholas passed all his piano classes with flying colors.
After college, Nicholas began composing his first original piano piece. In 2003, he received his first keyboard and shortly after recorded his first instrumental piece adding in violins, trumpets, flutes and bass lines. It was with this first original recording that Nicholas realized he held the passion and dedication to compose more. Four years later, Nicholas has completed his first instrumental album and is selling it to eager listeners and supporters.
Nicholas resides in his hometown of Morristown, NJ where he still spends most of his time on his music. He is currently the drummer in two bands- an original band and a cover band. When he’s not performing or composing music, Nicholas is busy running his own food catering company, Sun Garden Catering and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
