i'm nick dow and i was born in georgia, raised in florida, spent my adulthood moving around alot, and have had many different experiences in the states and abroad. i started out as a drummer and have been playing for about 16 years. i started writing 10 years ago and have played shows occassionally in new york, north carolina, and florida. i started by writing poetry and then putting it to music. the peots that influenced me the most were walt whitman, kabir, rumi, rabindranath tagore, etc. growing up and in to my writing years, i was influenced by songwriters like roy buchanon, nick drake, neil young, jeff buckley, and currently ryan adams, bands like my morning jacket, wilco, etc. etc. i like to write about things that are happening in my life past present and future. i try to choose words that describe the aspects of change in a universal way while keeping to the emotions that arise in myself while writing. i have completed a new cd and it is my second, but this is the one that i call my debut.
Have you planned Christmas Eve activities yet? All I know otherwise is that I will definitely be making our special Christmas morning biscuits. Can you find out if Whole Foods is open on Xmas eve and let me know? Can't wait to see you!!
