Too Much Trouble Hailing from Houston’s infamous 5th Ward, the hard-hitting rap duo, (Too Much Trouble), delivered with a non-stop, relentless rain of uncut, reality-based music that banged hard like sledge hammers. Often called (Baby Geto Boys, Drunk D and Lil Geto) turned to a life of straight hustle before God blessed them with rap as a means to escape. In 1987 TMT unleashed their explosive debut LP called (Hell On Earth), in no time and without any radio play, the record became a southern underground classic selling 100,000 copies. Their follow up LP, (Players’ s Choice) was even more successful and was featured on the HBO documentary called “Gang War: Banging ‘In Little Rock.” Family Can Be Your Rest Enemy was their single that was put in rotation at the local radio stations per the fans request. (Too Much Weight), (Too Much Trouble) was set to do major damage and was the groups last most balanced effort in 1997. Mixing hard-core gangsta themes with lighter gangsta pimpin’. Tracks like “Take Em To War” featuring then label mates 5th Ward Boyz squashed any indecision about TMT being a strong underground force. TMT then flipped the script with some ‘ole played smooth pimp game on “P-Thang” and “Take U Home”, “Dick Promises and Lies” and “Players Life”. These cuts definitely made you want to grab your fur coat, hat, cane and get your stroll on. Just pump it up to hear good, heart felt rap music. In October of 2003 (Nickel Nut-Drunk D) went on to release (“No Snitchin’) from his Independent Label, (Penthouse Records). The CD was sold in all Soundwaves stores and the local mom & pop stores throughout Texas. ***************************************************************Here’s an excerpt from a fan commenting on the No Snitchin’ project: “The 93' Pimps Are Back!!! If your down with old school Rap-A-Lot, then you know who (Too Much Trouble) is, and you know who (Nickel Nut) is. i should not need to say anymore other then, this a great album! if your down, your down, if your not, this does not need to be in your collection.”***** ***************************************************************Currently, TMT is working on multiple underground CD’s as well as their next CD coming soon. Though the group hadn’t been in the spot light for a while their loyal and dedicated fans has continued to post messages throughout the internet, some is as far as London.****** **TMT want to personally thank each and every fan around the world for their dedication and support especially our Troops that’s fighting for us every single day. Nickel Nut (Drunk D) and Geto will reach out to each one of you individually to express our gratitude. TMT also recognize that it’s you the fans that’s giving us the motivation to be in the studio day in and day out right now putting out the best underground cutz you’ve heard so far. We promise you won’t have to wait too long!****** TMT4Life ..
