Nick Fletcher studied the classical guitar at the Huddersfield School of Music, where he gained a Licentiate Performers Diploma (L.T.C.L.) from Trinity College, London. He was also awarded the Hurst Award for the most promising performer of the year. Since then, Nick has not only been active as a teacher and performer but also as a producer and has produced a number of Celtic music CD's which have sold worlwide.

As a solo artist Nick's first classical guitar CD, recorded with a string orchestra, sold over 10,000 copies worldwide. He has recently recorded more solo guitar projects, "No Strings Attached" and "Chords of Grace", both 2-CD sets for Kingsway Music.

Kingsway have just released a beautiful 2-CD entitled "Six String Hymns" featuring traditional English, German and French church music, arranged and performed by Nick.

Nick is also featured on two tracks of the CD "Songs for Luca 2" by Dave Bainbridge, of the Celtic progressive rock group Iona, both tracks were written especially for the project. One track entitled 'Silver Moon' is a composition for classical guitar solo. The second 'Red Sun' is a rare recording of Nick playing an electric guitar solo with Dave Bainbridge playing keyboards. The CD also features the likes of Phil Keagy and Rick Wakeman.

Nick's new solo album "Cathedral of Dreams" is now available from Open Sky Records. Solo classical guitar music plus concerto no.1 for guitar and orchestra (Iberian Fantasy).
