Sounds Like
The most succinct description I've heard is "the Beatles on Sesame St." That came from the mouth of band member Erin Hillert.
Nick Gage is a Chicago based singer/songwriter. Occasionally given to performing with a rotating cast known as The Sprinkler System. Often performing solo serenading the streets of Chicago's Ukrainian Village with ukulele while walking. Currently producing the original, annual Christmas Pageant/Musical, "Denis & Stas: Christmas Fantastic!" A dabbler by nature. There is some hip hop, genre hopping, instrumental atmospherics, bawdy country tales, and by the numbers crooked pop in his catalog. Does the occasional jingle, and has been finding a bit of a toe-hold with children's music of late in his collaborations with Chicago author, and cool person extraordinaire Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
I'll be passing through Tulsa next week and it looks like we'll be there at the same time. I know a good Russian bread/voka/pickle joint if you want to meet.
Hey man. I played some gigs with the Silent One, he says you're well. Thought I'd drop a line to say hi. Talk to you soon-I hope the Chi is being good to you.
