She was born to perform, and Nickieah Aragon’s first single “Black Berry Juice,” proves it! The track, produced with the help of Logwood Productions and remixed by Shumpie, brings undeniably new flavor to the music world. Nickeah’s seamless combination of Dancehall/Reggae, Pop, Soca, R&B and a touch of old-school Jazz, resonate with sensuality reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald.
Born on July 10th in the Spice Island of the Caribbean— Nickieah was destined for success. As a child she was inspired to sing and perform by her mother, a singer and guitar player, and her father DJ Harro, a radio personality and selector. Throughout her youth Nickieah sang and participated in numerous community activities, contributing to school productions at the Anglican High School, where she did it all — singing, hosting and acting. In 1997 a new door opened for Nickieah. While she was attending George Wingate High in Brooklyn, her music teacher saw her willingness to pursue her goal as both a singer and songwriter and began introducing her to producers like Ed Robinson, and escorting her to studios like Kingston Studio.
Refusing to be "in the box" Nickieah ventured into the realm of figurative writing. Her summer 1998 performance with spoken word artists Shay Butter and Nemesis the Gray Moon, at the African-American parade in Yonkers, N.Y., inspired further lyrical versatility. By July 2000 she began performing in a number of shows with Reggae artists like Major Mackerel, Sister Charmaine, Terrorist, Telley and Warrior. The experience and exposure to a large Reggae audience had a tremendous impact on Nickieah. She was invited by a number of Hip-Hop and Dancehall artists like Spice Youth, Premium, Kulcha Don and Kardinal Offishall to contribute hooks, punch lines and lyrics to their songs; she has since become a renowned "hook maker." Nickieah took a four-year break from the music scene in 2002 to focus on her writing and to learn more about the business side of the industry.
The songbird returned in 2006 with the hit single “Welcome to the Party” on the Spain Town riddim. The compilation album, distributed by VP Records and 56 Real Productions, featured artists like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel and Sizzla, just to name a few. Nickieah was on a roll. She performed at the 2008 Reggae Salute in Orlando with artists like Luciano, Everton Blender, Glen Washington, Shine Head and other well-known artists. Earlier that year Nickieah was excited, and humbled, to grace the stage with the Queen of Dancehall herself, Lady Saw.
Nickieah‘s aim for 2009 is to represent her island Grenada as the No. 1 female Reggae/Dancehall artist with the help of her promotional team Celebrity S&D Promotions. As the year progresses expect great things from Nickieah.

Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened fri <..> end.
They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turn
