just wanted to let you know that I was watching God Land's trailer, and I absolutely adored the soundtrack. I had seen it before, but for some reason hadn't focused so much on the music. It's great. I hope I'll get to collaborate with you on day.
Jesus, who just GIVES someone a mega pricey microphone? Christ. With some tracks already taken, there are only a couple of suitable ones left to do, but fortunately these are the ones that would most benefit from a piano makeover. You can hear them here:
I reckon I'd be up for the pub on Sunday then, armed with a CD for you. I'll be on the squash though as wealth is a void and I have an early start on Monday. Still, time for a chat and some music planning.
Ah recording with Duncan are you? Sounds fun. Yeah we'll definitely get together and definitely trade as well. I also have another question to ask of you... I don't know if time will aloow this, but if it does, would you be interested in doing an instrumental piano (and maybe strings) cover of one of my tracks for the re-release of my album 'Slow Music For Rapid Eye Movemen'? Something delicate, recreated on piano would be excellent... if you talk to Duncan about meeting up, we can all do it together and have a good old music chat mess. Sunday sounds good to me...
Yes yes it was a good meeting. In fact, nights like that help my restore my faith in Brighton in a way. There is so much crap everywhere it can seem a bit repellant, but last night was pure - ales, cosy pub, informal and enlightening chat and some impromptu piano deliciousness to round everything off.
The music I am hearing right now is gorgeous man, really really enjoying it. At times I hear a touch of Martin Grech, which is obviously a great thing. And the effortless beauty in the piano is perfect.
